NR_Royal McDermott is really starting to piss me off.

Weakening the midfield with Tabb in for Karacan and starting Church over Le Fondre.

Shit team. Shit game. Shit storm.

I give you 2-0. Humble Pie or what?

postwhisperer most reading fans i know have become dissatisfied with the direction the club has been going in recent years and can now be seen at york road, scours lane, waterside, stubbs lane, and many more non league grounds around berkshire. i cant say i dont blame them

What utter tosh! Most Reading fans are still turning up to watch the games. A few people with no real loyalty may have filtered away - but the crowd figures are as good now as we could expect.

It might be cheaper to record tonight's Football League Show on the BBC.

Not if you have to purchase a PVR to do so it won't.

Well done Simon Church - the epitome of showing how to fight for your place in the team. I hope he's rewarded with a starting berth next game.

Well done Brian for being brave with the team selection too.

His all round game was very decent; won his headers, held the ball up well, his movement was intelligent as it always has been. His finishing - however - was quite dreadful as usual and it took a two-yard open goal tap-in for him to notch.

a partnership with le fondre beckons - which on today's limited evidence might not be a bad idea

Seems a fairly classic combination... hard worker with good awareness and running combined with a deadly poacher. Le Fondre banging them in (assuming he does) should take a bit of pressure off Church scoring (and I think it's the mental side of scoring which is Church's problem). Very early days though of course, one game doesn't make a successful partnership.

I'm really not his biggest fan, but Church was very good today, it's just his finishing that's the problem.

I endured 40 years or so watching Reading having seen them first play in 1971. I chose to take my custom elsewhere because I decided that I wanted to enjoy my Saturdays again.
