whooooof. What a header from Le Fondre.

Church must be thanking Leigertwood for eclipsing his poor shot with an even worse one. WTF was that!? Looks like we really should have had 3 or 4 goals from those chances, with Church, Legs, Kebe and Hunt all missing chances they ought to have put away. Was it Le Fondre or Hunt challenging the keeper for Church's goal?

Some good crosses from Church there too, no wonder a few are giving him MOTM on BFTG thread.

And yes, I'm also giving Church man of the match. His finishing aside, which for a player so horrifically low on confidence wasn't surprising, he was a revelation. We needed someone to step up and fight for a win and he led from the front. Some of his runs were utterly sublime, he showed plenty of skill and put in a number of impressive crosses. I said during the game that if he played as well as he was and didn't get a goal, he would be justified in doubting what he has to do. But, he has his goal, and as the old cliche says, I doubt he cares that it was an easy one.

That will have done his confidence the world of good and I couldn't be happier for him; tireless, skilful and quite comfortably the man of the match. If this confidence translates into his finishing he has every chance of stepping up.

The ball is now in his court, let's see what he can do with it. Him stretching defences will only help Le Fondre and I'm actually quite excited to see what this partnership can develop into over the next few games.

So on that evidence Church's impending £55million transfer to Chelsea next season will fill the "blackhole" for several years to come

RoyalBlue Name sounds French so Va te faire foutre!
