Hoop Blah 8 goals in 11 for Henderson now.

More than I would've put him down for admittedly, but just shows how effective he can be.

Henderson is a decent centre forward who thrives on good service and quality delivery from the flanks.

Spotted the draw back if he came here?

Henry is exactly the sort of winger to supply him with the sort of service he thrives on as well IMO.

Although he's hardly played recently when Henderson has started scoring again.

I agree Henry's delivery is just the kind of thing he'd thrive on though.

Really? I had a quick look on soccerbase and he appeared to have played in most of the games this season.

Didn't check whether it was subs or not.

i hardly ever saw henry put in a decent cross when he played for us.
(same as i hardly ever saw howard have a good game for us.)

sometimes people move on and become better.
doesnt change that they werent right for us at the time.

(caveat- id kill to have henderson/henry back right now though)

Then you need to learn how to watch a game of football then brendy. Not only did he put in a lot of decent crosses but his passing and vision were very good too.

If he wasn't going to break into the team it was certainly the right time for him to move on though. Just like Cox before him, he needed to be getting a decent run of games and playing pretty much week in week out to kick on.

i think alot is pushing it

if he was putting quality crosses in every time he played, or even half of the time he played, we wouldnt have sold him cos hed have been in the first team.

he was good on the ball though.

he was decent, and getting better, but didnt want to wait to get in the team

I don't think it was his crossing that kept him in or out of the team, it was his occassional sloppiness when defending and the fact the managers of the time wanted Kebe's pace and inconsistency over Henry's more technical and subtle attacking qualities.

No problem with that, even if I would've prefered to watch Henry's style of play over Kebe's.

We had good quality wingers at the time he needed games and we were playing wingers more inclined to cut inside and pass than cross. So at the point he needed games to develop he wasn't what we were really looking for in a winger, which we had in a more complete form in other players.
