floyd__streete ITV are hopeless, they shouldn't be allowed to broadcast at all, never mind broadcast our national sport.

Agreed. BBC may not be perfect but at least you get to see decent coverage. Plus they'd be running the highlights under the "red button" as well, during the Sunday, just for good measure

No doubt we'll get a quick glimpse of the goals from the shock result in their "live" coverage on the Sunday.

And that's another thing, live televised draws ?!?!? Huddled round a radio during Sports Report on a Saturday or at around 1pm on the following Monday - much more exciting....

Royalist ITV are not showing saturday night highlights.

The FA Cup is dying.

Good 4-1 away win for Windsor at Wembley last night and a sensible referee even if the red card for Fergus Moore looked harsh. Could easily have dismissed Kyle Anthony but gave a final warning instead. Big game on Saturday: 3rd v 4th or something like that as Windsor play host to Horley Town.

The comedy continues at Bracknell where 6th placed Slimbridge put 6 without reply past the hapless Robins in last nights Hellenic Premier game at Larges Lane.

Bracknell now have 4 points from a possible 45 this season and are already effectively 8 points from safety. For the record they have managed 8 goals this season (and three of those arrived in their visit to Holyport) and let in 59.

Compo's Hat Maidenhead ticket details for the Aldershot game on their website tomorrow.

Schards already found the details - £12 a ticket £7 for concessions - anyone going to the home game with Dover is certain to get a ticket - tickets on a free for all after that I think.

EDIT: LOLz - just noticed you posted at midnight.

Anyway, IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently ITV are showing highlights of England Vs Spain rather than the FA Cup. I wish the FA would give the rights to the bbc. They used to mix it in with Match Of The Day didn't they?

The world knows that ITV coverage of football is rubbish. The FA Cup is such a special competition for the so-called "minnows" and the 1st Round proper is, in all intents, their Cup Final - especially for clubs Step 3 and below. But obviously, a meaningless international friendly takes precedence over something as trivial as the FA Cup - in ITV's eyes anyway.

Yes I really give a toss about a load of overpaid prima donnas playing in a couldn't care less meaningless game over proper exciting cup football. But then I forgot that football only began in 1992 and comprises only 1 division of 20 clubs.

Wish BBC had highlights rights for every level of football in this country - it's all you'd need.

ITV have an FA Cup highlights programme on the Sunday night although that will no doubt mainly cover the game they are showing earlier in the day.

...was at this - the Robins really are very much out of their depth. :( - although they were even humiliated 5-1 in the Cup at Div One West Lydney last Sat.
I don't think the straight Red shown to the witlessly petulant full-back (and Skipper  ) early on 2nd half made much of a difference - it just let Slimbridge coast for longer periods. Bracknell strive and struggle but have no cohesion middle or back - drift out of position constantly and had no answer to Slimbridge 'big unit' up front - who did everything but score for 94 mins; then knocked the ball in from about 6" with the last kick of the game - much to everyone's hilarity.

Poor ol' Martin Hutt in goal is rolling back the years and isn't as agile as he was but could do very little about the barrage of clear chances Bracknell presented to their visitors.

I really fear for them tomorrow too, as I suspect Highworth are bigger and uglier than Slimbridge in all departments - we could be seeing double figures again. :o

Only bright spark is the acquisition of Jon Palmer back at the club on dual-reg from Godalming - he looked very lively up front but was given little support. At least they are trying to get some more experienced players in, to bolster up what is a very young side.

Compared to last season when i'm sure it was both nights. When ITV inevitably use the words 'magic of the cup' a large pfft will be directed at my tv no doubt.

Their England highlights will be an embarrassing display from our national team who will be totally outclassed.

Anyway, back to NLF, cracking game at Stag Meadow where Windsor won 4-2 against Horley.

Yep, agreed.

Bad loss for Maidenhead today going down 4-1 at Eastleigh. Form hasn't been great since they started their FA Cup campaign. Dover and a visit from Nicky Forster on Tuesday before Aldershot.

.... Will do fuller review tomorrow but some freaky results in the Hellenic :

Bracknell win 3-1 v Highworth reportedly well deserved very young side out for Robins
Nomads go down 1-0 @ Abingdon T
Ascot win @ Wantage - might tell you more about how poor the Freds are this season but a good win nonetheless
Kidlington edge Holyport 3-2 - I ended up here visitors a bit unlucky but Kiddy v happy to reverse a recent poor run of form
Moles & RTFC both notch good away wins the two meet in the cup @ Binfield on Mon night
Newbury keep their 100% with an impressive 4-0 win@ Wasps

.... As above - more tomorrow :)

I think it's fair to say that an England international, even a friendly, might just get higher viewing figures than FA Cup 1st Round highlights. You would think they could put highlights on ITV2 on something like that though.
