Why would you go to a football ground for the surroundings?!

I go for the football, not the scenery

For it's size, I found the Millenium Stadium to be pretty depressing, dull colours and just a bit shit.

Nothing to do with us losing.. honest

At least it's right in the Centre of Cardiff though.

I go to see the town or City as well. I'm not one of these people who just go str8 to the ground with their packed lunch and flask of tea.

Anywhere that has no decent pubs near it and is miles out from the town centre, so Reading is up there. Stoke is crap, Coventry too. Hate going to Wycombe, Oxford is rubbish there's loads.

Fair enough - but thought this was a thread about depressing grounds, not towns

Also, you live in Reading - so why would you vote for the MadStad when you know what the town is like

For me it was Northampton, [old] Colchester and Notts County.......never really engaged me enough to go back

you have to treat the Kassam as being Cowley, Wetherspoons is only a 15 minute walk away. if that old train line to Princes Risbrough was still running it'd be alright

For a depressing football ground you needn't look no further than Stamford Bridge. Consistantly shit atmosphere, over-priced tickets and they've only seen one win in four.

It's alright if you want somewhere quiet to go and have a think, and evaluate your life.
