This would make my Christmas if it were true. I don't care if it's only til end of the season - just having him back would inject a bit of excitement into the team. He never wanted to go in the first place - he loves Reading and we love him.

He was an unused sub again today, so things obviously not going too well for him out there, and Hoffenheim arnt exactly the best team in their league, so there might be some milleage in this.

I watched a game early season for Hoffenhiem they were playing him on the left wing. He never had a touch and was bought off and looked a shadow of the player he was with us. He needs to be loved and we love him.

Fantastic!

We could then negotiate a loan deal for Long and we'll be unbeatable...............we may then even be able to score in the first half of games.

I can't wait!

I shall file this under believe it when I see it.

But if he did it wouldn't be a major leap to have him playing just behind one striker in a 4-4-1-1. Not a massive tweak to the way we play but may well be the spark we need to turn a very average season in to a decent one.

Certainly he was the first man to speak of Siggy to Hoffenheim in the first place, and it had happened within 24 hours.

This seems as likely as us scoring in the first 45.

But in any event isn't the success record of former "heroes" returning on loan a little premature?, Messrs Little, Kitson et al?

chilipepper91 If we don't get to the playoffs and even less likely, promotion, we're really back at square one as there's no way he'd be with us past May. Again for the long-term it wouldn't be a good move because unless we can find a like-for-like replacement for £0 in June, it's another pre-season of adaptation.

It'd give Taylor time to develop on loan and maybe come in and start making the role his own the next season.
