melonhead mcd and himself.

And, of course, it had nothing whatsoever to do with saving a bit more money for the chairman. Wonder whether there was also a loan fee and, if so, how much.

It had everything to do with giving an excellent young keeper pitch time at as high a level as possible to his benefit and hopefully ours eventually, when he wasn't going to be playing for us, because Federici has the No 1 spot rightly or wrongly and has certainly done very little to lose it since he was given it at the start of the season.

royalsroyalsroyals92 Screw McCarthy... watching Mikkel Andersen warming up today was like watching a goalkeeping masterclass... some of the saves that guy actually managed to pull off...

During the warm up?

Here's a couple of good ones in competitive action.

Taylor's goal was good yesterday, it's about 54mins in to the football league show on Iplayer if you want to watch it.

Apparently we've given him permission to play in the FA cup for them as well.

Disappointed by that, would have been nice to see him come back in the new year and push on.

Exeter got knocked out by Walsall last night anyway so it won't affect him.

Having seen the goals in the Leeds game Alex McCarthy won't be happy with the second goal. Don't want to judge him based on just that mind!

Someone i know who supports Rotherham was at the game at the weekend and reckons that Williams was one of the best players, apparently he just kept on running and running and for the first time since he's been with em there was actually some sort of end product he says. Good finish for the goal and apparently had a good goal disallowed - he says that Williams looked good but tbf it was the first time he was overly impressed with him.

Hope AP doesn't mind me copying and pasting this from GF.

Alan Partridge Now onto the important Diddy Ding watch. 2 young loanees, watched by 2 Reading scouts Dean Santangelo the goalkeeper and my man Uche Ikpeazu. What a prospect he is, as everyone was saying 'the one class act on the pitch'. His touch is superb, the immediate comparison is Paulo Wanchope. Extremely similar build, unpredictable style but very effective. For a 16 year old he more than holds his own in the strength department, skilful and tricky with the ball and pace to burn. He hit the bar in the 1st half with a snap shot. But I can best sum him up by from the first kick off the ball falls at his feet, he nutmegs the full back leaving him on his arse then dribbles passed two players and wins a corner great stuff. He's not particularly good in the air yet and he will get stronger and possibly bigger (he's already 6'2/6'3) and when he does he is going to be an absolute nightmare to play against.

He is going to be some player, 5/6 years frightening what he could become if he keeps the right attitude and continues to play his natural game. He was partnering ex Newcastle, Hartlepool, Wimbledon, Torquay and other centre forward Paul Robinson and Uche looked the far superior player. 16 years old, scary.

Santangelo too made 3 excellent saves to preserve a clean sheet, 3rd game i've seen him and he looks a good keeper, commands his area well, got good hands and kicks well. good solid no frills keeper who too was very good tonight.

Angus McDonald joined Basingstoke on loan last week as well by the way.

Think they won 2-1 on his debut.
