Wimb Just crious if you've awarded half assists etc for games earlier in the season? as I imagine they're pretty hard to quantify unless you've been keeping an accurate record....

Svlad Cjelli It's a little known fact that statistics are actually much more accurate and objective if you put them in large print .....

Hoop Blah And what constitutes a half assist?
Interestingly, depending on who you take as right on here, both of Harte and Kebe got 2 assists on Tuesday night.

Is it your age?
Oh and I'm sure ALF has more than two assists for us? He got a couple in his first 4 matches and then set up Noel more recently with a cross.

def kebe for both
i can only assume a half assist is for an assist to the assist

Kebe "virtually scored" but Church gets the credit for the goal cos he nicked it, so Kebe gets the assist instead.
But IMO, Harte "virtually" had the assist for Kebe's "virtual" goal
So Church gets the goal, Kebe the primary assist and Harte a secondary. Simples.
Harte made a big contribution to Alf's goal by picking out Kebe, who obviously gets that particular assist.
So, as I see it, Kebe gets two assists (a little unlucky, should be a goal and an assist) and Harte gets an assist (two halves)
and I think that's a reasonable reflection of their contribution

def kebe for both
i can only assume a half assist is for an assist to the assist
IMO if a winger (say Kebe) puts in a peach of a cross giving a CF a free header
and instead of going for goal the CF heads it down to a second striker for a goal
then the winger deserves a half-assist (giving 1.5 assist for the goal)
So Church's stolen goal is an assist for Kebe and a half for Harte.
Had Church not touched it over the line then it was a Kebe goal and a Harte assist
