To trip over and throw the ball out of play.

Right in saying took you 20 minutes to think up that one?

Avon Royal Can't help feeling that was a really bad loss today - if we had won it would have been a real statement of intent. As it is we've just shown that we are as inconsistent as ever.

Why are people surprised? Our two wins came against garbage opposition, as we all suspected normal service resumed again once we play anyone half decent.

Actually m8 I thought it up when he was announced on the bench before the match. Either I'm clairvoyant or I've seen his other appearences for Reading. Either way it took him 20 minutes to prove me right.

McDermott: "Church was three yards onside. It was the worst decision I have ever seen from a linesman."

Royalee: Simon Church plays like he's three years old, the decision to start him was the worst I've ever seen by a manager.

On ignore. I'm sure it was something derogatory about Church though.

To be fair though, the two sides we've beaten do have the worst defensive records in the league and so that probably helped in addressing our key weakness at the moment (scoring goals).

The bit that still worried me during those two wins was that we still struggled to create many chances.

I've not seem the goal that was ruled out, but I am always concerned to see McDermott slip back into slating the referees. He's made a big thing in the past about accepting decisions and not complaining. When he has complained its been when he's looked to be feeling the pressure a bit. Even if that isn't the case, I'd rather he listened to his own advice a bit and just accepted it.

I don't like it. Say the ref got it wrong by all means, but Le Fondre and Kebe were just as culpable in us losing as the ref. They both made costly individual mistakes missing good chances.

He was the one that made the big deal of not moaning and just accepting errors etc etc when he took over, and since, so if that's something he puts his faith in I'm a little worried when he starts to. I just think it's a bad sign.

100% agree, BMD is really getting on my tits these days with interviews. When he first took over he would never use the ref as an excuse, funnily enough the team actually played good attacking football using the ground as a surface too. Few seasons on he has a pop decisions nearly every other week and the team play consistent long ball rot also. How can we get the old BMD and reading team back?

Taken from http://fansonline.net/blackpool/mb/view.php?id=946408

"I sit just above the tunnel and have seen Olly get a bit riled now and again but today he went mental when the ref didn,t give us anything for the trip and at least send Reading's player off. He was raging still 15 minutes or more after the incident. I thought he was going to blow a gasket. Their manager and assistant didn;t think their goal was offside and were moaning about that. After that there was a quite a bit of banter between quite a few of us and their rather portly asst manager. He tried to get one of our fans thrown out and at the final whistle had to be escorted down the tunnel by a couple of his players as he was offering the pool fan to take him outside."

That will be Nige then!

Having seen the ruled out goal, It looks like Le Fondre was offside for the free kick itself (in fact both ALF and Kebe look to be off when the free kick is struck). Of course if the Lino gav the offside against Church himself, then he got it wrong, but I suspect the flag might have been up before Church even got on the end of ALFs knock-down.....

I’m just tired of McD altogether.

- Keeps starting Church even though he’s the worst player in the league by a country mile.
- Seems to insist we play long ball rather than keep hold of possession at crucial moments.
- Has a daft policy to pick his mates over talent.
- Continues to play the same formation and tactics despite them clearly not working, and aren’t compatible with the players.

1. Play the ball to feet, we aren’t a side who can hit a decent long ball, nor win one.
2. Go 4-5-1/4-3-3; we don’t have the strikers, wingers or central midfielders to play 4-4-2 effectively anymore.
3. Quit being loyal to lads you know better, grow some balls and stop playing repeat offenders.
4. Come round my house for a burrito. They are f///ing tasty motherfu//ers.
