Games over New Years are quite well followed I have usually found.

Probably IN for this.

Humbug. I still haven't forgotten driving all the way to Cardiff on New Year's Day in 1991(?), only to find the game had been called off.

Can't top that but I once boarded a supporters club coach (remember those?) bound for (I think) Luton on boxing day only for it to be called off - thankfully before the bus had left.

You sure that was Boxing Day m8 :?: Because I got all the way to the ground about 10 years ago for it to be called off due to snow in that area, luckily for me Luton's the sort of place you don't mind revisiting so couldn't w8 for it to be rescheduled

Correct JSC. I turned up at Watford the game was off so I drove back down the M25 / M4 to watch Brentford play Brighton.

A 0-0 game that should never have been played.

I hope it's better than a miserable day in Swansea last year, but IN.

Definitely had a Boxing day game against Luton that was called off due to fog. If we didn't someone really should've told the team they were playing Watford because there was more than a few of them stood outside Kenilworth Road.

I remember back in the Elm Park days when Reading had Luton on either boxing day or new years day but it wasn't called off. I know, cos I went to Chelsea v United in the morning and got back just in time for the Reading game, so went to that too. 8)

Yeh I'm fairly sure it was Luton, circa 2000/2001 I'd say.

Trying to order tickets online but the Cardiff game does not appear on the list.

Anyone know why that is? Can't be sold out already surely?

Emailed them the other day about this game, they can't post the tickets out between now and then, so have presumably taken them off the website. However they reliably inform me that they will be available on the gate.

At least two different events being talked about here, and possibly three - Luton Boxing Day postponement was 1998, Watford Boxing Day postponement was 1995. There was another Luton postponement in January 2001.
