Still not as amusing as you're Smithers love for Brendan tbf. Who can forget the "Rodgers RevoLOLution"?

Would you rather be in ours or his position? Just saying...

I'd rather be in the position we're in now than the one he got us in.

I'd rather be in a position where we had a proper chairman who gave him a chance like Swansea.

Swansea > Reading + Prem > Champ

fair play to him, I am a Reading fan and I still would have gone to Swansea

To be fair Rodgers has done a good job, but they were playing the same formation and style under the previous two managers. I didn't think at the time we should have got rid of him, but it was the right decision.

Some bigger Premiership clubs must be keeping tabs on him surely?? If not LOL at them, this boy is good enough for a top 10 Prem side.

He has the chance to show it now. Good player but not as good YET as some would love to think. Has moments of brilliance but was often on the periphery of games for us.

IcelandicStokie I feel a bit guilty here as Swansea came into the discussios of Gylfi when the heard of Readings discussions with Hoffenheim. They stole him!!!

8)

Pleased with this if true.

I know why you're pleased but I'm not sure it will be that good for you.

It was only when McDermott came in and built the team around him that Gylfi prospered. He'd shown flashes of what was to come before that but the manager at the time, you might know him from somewhere, displayed no inclination as to how to use him properly within the team. I hope for Swansea's sake and the sake of Gylfi's career that Rodgers has learnt his lesson and is more than just a profiteer from Roberto Martinez's work as many suspect.

lol

Seems Rodgers was the one to nurture Gylfi...do you know anything about your own team? But you're right, it's going to be really difficult to slot an attacking midfielder, with top long range / dead balls skills, into a 4-5-1 in a team that plays a little more than just hoofball

Sousa took us back a number of steps whilst Rodgers has taken us past where Martinez would've been with us by now. Look at how Wigwam are doing...

Just a little jeaLOLous that your ex-manager and ex-best player are now with us eh?

He definitely is, I don't blame sig in the slightest. Swansea are a much better club than Reading now and are prepared to invest to stay up there. Reading are just a small club with bitter fans who for some reason continuously pledge allegiance to a board which tries to go against the grain of modern day football by not investing. Don't think the Sig deal would ever be on...because you guessed it...he'd actually need wages being paid.
Reading are being run like they are in administration yet teams like cardiff who were worse off than us financially over the summer can invest in players and push on...funnily enough issuing a stuffing to us today also. Reading are going absolutely nowhere anytime soon.

Here is how I think it went down...

Hoffenheim: Hey Reading. We're looking to loan out Gylfi to get him back in form and he said he would love to come back there, where he has had success in the past, for a spell.

Reading: Really? We're interested but can you pick up some of his wages?

Hoffenheim: Hmmmm....

Swansea: Hey guys we'll take him and pay his full wages.

Hoffenheim: Deal!!!!

Not sure but guaranteed it was probably a bit too rich for Reading's present structure (we get to hear about financial black holes which need to be filled by selling off our best players every season). I am sure part of his deal to go to Hoffenheim, one of the wealthier tems Bundesliga, was a healthy hike in pay. Wages Swansea would be in a better position to fully pick-up right now.

Not so sure we're in that different a boat to the one you were in regarding wages paid in the Prem. Believe Graham is on a total package of 30-35k pw inc. all bonuses etc... and this is above all others so doubt we'd be paying Sig's full wage if he's on over, say, 25k...?

Well you would know better than I about Swansea. It would probably be more accurate to say you guys would pick up more of his wages than we would.

Do you honestly see hsi role as a starting one there? I see him as a second half sub when you are chasing. How much time will he get to see there?

Realities of losing the play off final. If we won we would still have Mills, Long bought Graham, Gorkes, would be signing Sig and Kebe would be staying. Instead we are selling everyone buying a load of div two crap, and slowley sliding towards division one.

Apparently our manager doesn't know anything about our team either because Brian just made the same point about Rodgers inability to play Gylfi in the right position when he was here on the radio ("I just hope the manager there plays him in the right position this time"). He's also got a pretty low opinion of your d1ckhead fans the way they behaved after the Play-Off final btw.

You just missed out on the Play-offs under Sousa so he didn't do too badly. Do you actually know anything about your team?

I hate your manager but don't dare suggest I'm being negative towards that lad. I wish him the best of luck and hope he can get a move to a bigger and better PL club after his loan move. If not maybe you can sign him and give us the 40% that we're owed for his next transfer.

You were actually a good and fair poster on here last season but it seems mixing with the big boys has given you a smug sense of superiority. Good luck for the rest of the season you play good football and I hope you stay there.

P.S. I'd much rather have a good honest man like Brian McDermott managing my club than a big head like Brendan Rodgers.

Pretty much sums most of the tossers on here up, all the best for the season.

I was not trying to be confrontational just giving an honest opinion and have made a strongly worded post to defend myself after being accused of things that were not my aim in the original post .

I'm afraid Royalee that you are the one that accurately portray's most of "the tossers on here". You are arrogant, condescending, pig headed and you abuse people for comitting the cardinal sin of disagreeing with you. I'd like to think you're just trolling but sadly I think you may actually be serious.
