Mid Sussex Royal Interesting article in Evening Standard tonight - headline:
" FREEDMAN: HEROES WILL STAY AFTER SHOCK WIN"
It starts: "Having beaten United, boss says cash from Carling Cup run means Palace can fend off Premier League interest in their top stars"
hmmm very interesting - one cup run from a micky mouse competition which no one watches - no daft accounting entries to create artificial losses there.
Haven't they just had most of their debt written off by going into administration? And it's not exactly like they've only just been relegated or lost their parachute payments either. Can't imagine their wage bill is huge.
Besides, all it actually means is they can hold out for a higher payout. If someone decent wants to spend a few million on Ambrose they'll struggle to keep him no matter how much they've got.
