If united wanted an old, burnt out midfielder, they should have pursued their acquisition of Frank Lampard #Zinggg!

M-U-R-T-Y Cahill + Terry playing together will be useful for England.

Or not.

Friend of mine who is a posh estate agent just told me the following: "Gary Cahill has pulled his property requirements for XXX saying that he is going to Man U"

Scoop!

9/1 to go to Utd with Sky Bet, worth a few quid if your mate's right!

Probably concerned that he'd be waiting 12 months for his debut like Torres.

soggy biscuit Media claim Carroll on his way back to Newcastle for £10M

Media rumour process: player struggling for form since move + club needs a striker urgently + player has links to said club = cut price move in the transfer window.

Would be a hefty loss and as I posted earlier can’t see Liverpool would absorb that loss in just 12 months. From a fan’s perspective it might not be all that bad given that, with Suarez banned, and Bellamy the only other option, if Carroll is going it would indicate Liverpool have lined up another signing. But that said, I don’t think Carroll is going anywhere.

Funny thing is that there is also another story doing the rounds saying Liverpool are looking to return to Newcastle to sign Demba Ba, so perhaps there is some legs in a part of this then.

Would depend what value Newcastle put on Ba’s head, I guess. You’d have to imagine they might be ‘worth’ similar amounts given their last respective transfer fees and subsequent performances, maybe £15m each. Net result of a straight swap would mean Newcastle had effectively made a £28m profit on Ba in 6 months, which wouldn’t be half bad. But surely even Newcastle wouldn’t swap Ba for Carroll?

Guy who was at Newcastle's Pardew Press Conference yesterday sad that once the cameras had stopped rolling and things were off teh record Pards was asked about Carroll and said "£10M? He's not worth that!"

I think most mangers know about AC's personal problems and so wouldn't want the hassle.
