Rob-Royal Remind me how many times Real Madrid have reached the champions league final in the last 5 years compared to the club he left again...?

There's a difference to going onto better things and a personal preference/desire....

But the parallel is that while there are bigger clubs in the world, with more resources, no club in the world can stop a player moving on and furthering their career. But "being unable to stop a player leaving" is different, IMHO, to "selling."

True - but why would Nigel Gibbs class Watford as a selling club then when all clubs are selling clubs?....excluding Barcelona unless you are surplus to requirements.

There's a difference between a desire to sell and having no choice to sell. Fabregas was always going back to Barcelona for eg...

There is a difference, yes.

Not that it matters, as we push the f/ckers out the door.

Because I know you want the money but it's not going to work and I'll only end up having to come back to England on loan.....

No Fixed Abode Does it annoy you that Reading are a selling club?

Nah.

I get quite a lot of pleasure seeing Long and Doyle gather plaudits in the Premiership and thinking how Reading spotted their talent and developed it.

Well, he didn't ask to go, Melonman - and wouldn't have. It was the clubs decision, not his.

Even Barca and Real could have to start selling soon, if as expected 'Beckham's law' is revoked in spain.

we've been here a hundred times and you're boring me - face it, we sell our best players and will continue to do so until we get an owner with deeper pockets or wages come under control....Sig was still developing and needed to continue with that.

How Gibbs can call Watford a selling club is quite frankly laughable when his own employers do exactly the same.

Exactly and Watford have far more cause to have to be a selling club than we do. What's more I can't remember their Chairman giving all the big talk about genuine ambition to return to the PL or Chief Execs talking about them becoming the next Arsenal!

.. and you accuse others of being boring?

Face it, we sell some, we buy some. We are successful in league terms. So we don't seem to have a serious problem at the moment - unless you are a shortsighted half wit of course?

Really don't know why I biting on that ridiculous suggestion but for the hard of understanding: We talk far too much of ambition and do far to little to deliver on that talk. Of course, as they say, 'Talk is cheap', so we know why that might well be attractive to some at the club.
