mr_number Maybe we need some big show of support for him at Watford?

Nah, f*ck him. The only time I've ever seen him go over and properly acknowledge the fans is when McDermott dragged him over at the end of a 3-1 win at Palace. The man don't give a f*ck.

He came over to the fans against West Brom in the cup

He was helping their stewards.

Don't forget he's Jimmy Kebe and he does what he wants.

Ideal Why would he want to move to West Ham..

Becaue they might be able to pay him more than £12,000 a week.

tomrfcurz Kebe rejects £12,000 a week from West Ham
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfe ... 52118.html

So he's rejected a contract offer from a club we have not accepted a bid from.

Very lazy, speculative, journalism.

Alternatively, this is West Ham. We know that they don't bother with technical niceties like getting permission to talk to people before offering them contracts.....

He's probably there having a medical as we speak

No way is he going to stay with us - we can't afford him and it's a real shame. I also think he wasn't injured on Saturday - but didn't want to be cup-tied, which is LOLable if he goes to West Ham!

The football world has gone mad if Kebe can turn down £12K a week as not enough.

The last really good game he had for us was Leicester at home last season! He played ok against West Ham at home and apart from that has been a shadow of the player he was last season. Admittedly he can influence an occasional game but most of the time he is very average.

Having been critical in the past I am beginning to have more and more sympathy for the Chairman. Football has gone mad and we simply cannot compete sadly. If he does not intend to sign a new contract with us then the quicker Kebe leaves the better IMO.

I thought when your contract only has 6 months to run you are free to discuss terms with anyone with a view to a deal at the end of that contract?

That's only for teams abroad isn't it?

That's allowed for discussing your new contract once the current one expires - not for discussing one to replace the one you're still under.

Unless the two clubs are in different countries.

As you say Dirk, West Ham (or pretty much any other club) don't really play by those rules though.

You never know, it's possible that we've said discuss terms with him even though we've still not accepted a bid either. If West Ham know they've agreed terms with the player they're more likely to come back with a better offer that the club can then negotiate on/accept. I'm sure that's not unheard of.

It's most likely that it's a bit of speculation/illegal discussions going on though.

Latest from Nick Hammond on Kebe; to be fair, doesn't add a lot to the situation...

And Hammond said there may be a further acquisition before the window closes at the end of the month.

"Brian and I have done a lot of travelling this week to look at some players," he said.

"As always we will need some clarity in terms of funds available. We might loan some players out to give them some game time.

"I'm sure there will be bits and pieces happening. As always if we can find a player who can add to our squad and helps us to push forward and we get the permission from the board and the owner then we will do it."

ooooooooo @ the first point
lol at the underlined
but that sounds hopeful either way

though it does all depend on whether our glorioius leader gives it the green light- uh oh!

Doesn't it just. Mercenary little shit. Problem is that you then get other players stamping their feet about wanting more money. I hope this doesn't upset the dressing room.

It probably will.

I am really worried about this. With all this talk of money, all of the players will want a piece of the pie.
