pea Tommy Smith?

We've been linked to half their squad in the past...

Out of all that have been mentioned this probably makes the most sense, what we are missing at the moment is someone who can create things for the forwards and if Jimmy is leaving then he can play wide as well. I think he could probably fill the role Siggi did as well so certainly offers more than the others, although given the transfer saga previously we probably wont go for him.

im just saying that we probably wouldnt buy if we thought either were capable of performing there in the next season or so

Well, this just returns us full circle to the catalyst of our discussion – we should be buying people with pedigree to address immediate problems, not wasting our time on nobodies under the false impression this strategy has been successful.

.

not really

if the coaches think those two kids will be able to play in that position next year it would be silly to waste money on a player there now

especially as we dont currently play with an attacking midfielder and seem to be muddling along ok

Or maybe it would be silly to waste a midpoint 5th position by not investing in this season?

Tbh, if the club filled the away concourse with carbon monoxide on a match day, Meloners would still defend their policy every step of the way.

I'm sure it would depend on which concourse.

Bothroyd and Buzaky starting for QPR today, with Campbell on the bench.

Will be interesting to see how Hughes shuffles his pack and who might then be available.

They sold us their best defender at the start of the season.

Even though Newcastle only had one shot on target all game? Can't be that bad at defending can they?

I thought QPR looked alrigth, especially for a team on such a poor run as them.

As for Bothroyd and Buzaky, thought they both showed exactly why they'd be good additions to our side. Buzaky passed the ball well, had a shot well saved and put some lovelly weighted balls through the Newcastle back four. He's not the hardest working, and is probably lacking a bit of match fitness, but he did enough running too. Bothroyd held the ball up pretty well, created a chance or two out of nothing and was a handful in the air for a side that's been very good defensively this season.

yeah, that type of attribute isn't welcome here.

I'm not sure I can see a downside to that TBF.
