royalexile The play off was due to exceptional circumstances though. I would thing the safety stewards were briefed to relax the rules on this occasion.

paulholsgrove Saw on skysports news on Friday that a rugby league team (st Helens I think) were moving into a new purpose built stadium. I happen to notice in the report that behind the goals/posts (or whatever they call them) both 'stands' were seatless with standing barriers. This is a bowl stadium similar to ours -but on a lot smaller scale. Hopefully if it is proved in a new rugby arena they may relate it to football.
