Christ alive. A fcuking Russian billionaire? I guess my son will enjoy the ride but it's not for me thanks.

I find this oddly depressing.

If we continue to do things the 'Reading Way', as well as spending a bIt more money on players who will cause an instant impact we will be destined for good things. Also our possible new found wealth should allow us to pay Kebe the wages he wants.

Very excited, but its going to go one of three ways;
Incredibly well - European football
Incredibly badly - Phoenix club in 5 years
Incredibly QPR - Have loads of £££ but are still sh*t and have to cheat our way into the PL!

And apparently we've been linked with Spartak Moscow's flying winger, Igo Zuminov.

I'd probably ROFL if we spend £15m this tfr window then fail to go up. Then another £20m in the summer and still fail to go up.

That or cry.

According to wikipedia there's no player with that name listed in their squad... and google only gave me results on racehorses..

Norfolk Royal I find it interesting that in the Mail article it says the son, Anton, was educated in Reading but then went to university in New York.

If that is the case that he went to either a state school or a private school in close proximity to Reading, there must be people among our fans who were at school with him.

This is a heartening aspect of this in my view since it at least shows some sort of connection or affinity with the area. It's not inconceivable that he recalls his time in Reading with some affection as a lot of Reading University students do for instance.

Secondly, I also found it heartening in one of the pieces posted that Kenwright said Anton had an encyclopaedic knowledge of football.

If that is the case then it doesn't really smack of some oligarch on an ego or asset stripping exercise.

He went to Bradfield College.

John Madejski For the avoidance of doubt, I would like to emphasise that I will continue as Chairman of the club, and the club will continue to operate in the same prudent and business-like manner that it always has

Like I said, some people just need to chill out. I really doubt this is Roman Abramovich mk. II

Have you read up about Boris?

I'm sure a lot of it is BS but he sounds like one ruthless bugger to me!

new ownership will always be mixed with excitement and concern but if we want to move forwards and have genuine hopes of getting back to and staying in the premiership then it's a must.

john madejski, god love him, has taken us as far as we can go. If we do go up again with him, we'll come crashing back down due to the penny pinching approach and then more years or black holes and readjustments.

i want that excitement and concern. i don't want to just be a safe and sound club that won't really get any where. of course it could wrong, there is that risk of debts and administration etc, but that rarely is the end of the world as we've seen with the likes of palace, portsmouth, leicester etc. we could end up back in league one for a bit but so could we if our safe run club penny pinches in this division.

football's a roller coaster. i wouldn't mind that buzz back around the place.

From May 2011

No stranger to electric cars, Zingarevich is indirectly a major shareholder in battery maker Ener1, which had been supplying Think with lithium-ion batteries for its tiny Think City electric car.

In turn, Ener1 was a major shareholder in Think, loosing an estimated $105.6 million of investment, unpaid loans and accounts receivable when the firm went into administration last month

Zingarevich is also reputedly close friends with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin

Can't wait to see the players car park. Armoured Smart Cars..............it's the future.

Not possible, as many posters have pointed out we only need to "invest" a small amount extra to guarantee promotion.
