Arch Aaargh! Stop talking about Roberts. Useful loan signing; not a "big transfer story". That's it.

We are little old Reading. This is a big transfer story! Who are we expecting to be linked with exactly?! Ronaldo?

No ffs, but the only point I was making is, I can see us at least making bigger signings than that in the future, i.e summer. It's hardly a massive signing, good maybe - yes.

how unlike a newspaper to dramatise something to get you to buy their paper... don't take it to heart kiddo. it's a good signing. onwards and upwards.

TheMaraudingDog Have you looked at his strike record?

Yep, for West Brom in the Championship he scored 22 goals in 59 games.

For Wigan in the Championship he scored 21 goals in 45 games.

43 goals in 104 games overall.

Almost 1 in 2, probably is when you count in minutes and all that.

Pretty impressive if you ask me at this level.

A lot nearer 1 in 2.5 games (2.42) and just a mere 5 years ago.

I remember him scoring a cracker v Arsenal and thinking, wwooo he'd be good
but I like Alan Clarke too

That doesn't sound like something the Daily Mail would do.

As Arch said, I see you've missed the point. I never mentioned for a second the quality of Roberts, I merely said, it's hardly worth the hype. It's hardly going to require over dramatisation in result of purchasing a newspaper either, that's what the internet, and Reading FC's OS was created for.

Now, shh.

One of many 'insider' accounts on Twitter that tweets facts, rumours, stats etc about the Championship has tweeted, about an hour ago that the Daily Mail are running with a story that Jordan Rhodes is on his way to Reading, said account has said this is absolute, and i quote "bollocks" but could this be our 'big' transfer story in tomorrow's Mail? Before the moaners start, i'm posting this in the Jordan Rhodes thread too.

The Roberts link was reported in the national press earlier this week incl. possibly in the Mail but anyway that wasn't really the point of Arch's post.

Yes but some of those were probably sub appearances, and he'll have been taken off in some of them too.

You're always doing your figures based on minutes played Snowy, lets be consistent now.

Let's just see what's in the Daily Mail tomorrow. Will probably be Roberts but let's hope it's Rhodes.

Jordan Rhodes lol defo mixed up with Jason Roberts. Even if Daily Mail do come out with a Rhodes story and him coming to us....it is nonsense!

LOL @ Roberts being a big transfer signing story and all the people getting excited about it being him with virtually no evidence it is.

TBH Goater was a bigger signing than Roberts would be. Rhodes fits the bill more, but I find it hard to believe we can get him. I'll be happy to wait and see whoever it is.

That'd do and seems more likely than either of the others.

Only big issue with Sharp for me is his horrendous injury record.
