i wont be telling him karleigh is a girls name...

Name: Karleigh Osborne
Nationality: English
Date of Birth: 19/03/1988
Height: 6' 2" (188cm)
Weight: 12st 4lbs (78.09kg)
Previous
Clubs: Oxford United (loan), Eastbourne B (loan)
Position: Defender

Karleigh Osborne is a product of Brentford's youth system and has racked up more than 150 games for The Bees since he made his debut as a 17-year-old in May 2005.

He started out with Brentford's Centre of Excellence and before he was 20 had worn the captain's armband.

Primarily a centre back, many of Karleigh's early games for The Bees were at right back and he played 35 games, scoring five goals, as Brentford won League Two in 2008/09.

During the 2010/11 campaign the 23-year-old established himself at the heart of Brentford's defence, making 51 appearances.

Karleigh is under contract at Griffin Park until June 2012.

i'm actually glad this one is osborne with an e. it still bugs me when people that should know better talk about simon osborn and add an e at the end!

test icicles Looks like the Brentford fans are pretty upset at losing him. Anyone know much about him?

Swindon fans were very upset about losing Morrison too.

they said they would get relegated without him and they did. i'd say that was a successful signing.

Ian Royal LOL @ all the excitement after the takeover announcement and our first signing is apparently a promising young lower league defender to presumably take over from Khumalo as cover (doesn't bode particularly well for Morrison maybe).

Ladies and Gentleman, I give you business as usual!

Pleased with this. :)

Not sure why you think this. Isn't it normal to have 4 CBs?

He is making reference to the fact we're not signing someone like Vincent Kompany i.e. sticking to bargain bin buys.

Would be nice to sign someone who actually starts a game ... so far we've signed that Irish lad who is unlikely to make it ever and this guy who is just back-up to what we've already got. Nothing to get the pulse racing .... yet.

...agree ...another possible /maybe by the sounds of it to add to the crypt of many others that the club have signed and ended up being duffers

Surely Pearce-Gorks is a top championship CB-Pairing?

How much would we have to spend to get someone that was CLEARLY better than these two?

Given £5m gets you Mills, I'd guess we'd have to break our transfer record three times over at the very least.

Sorry if it's already been discussed, I couldn't see it on the first page anyway...

But isn't that a girl's name?

It gives quite a good impression of what Bees fans think of him though, no?

Cannot see a down side to this. He is well thought of at Brentford and will be first reserve for us I would think. That gives us 4 CB options assuming Khulamo goes - which should be enough with Gunnar a possibility in an emergency.

A typical Reading signing.

You are going to have to learn that there is no "U" in Osborne. People have been excommunicated from the Griffin Park Grapevine for this grevious error.

Let's hope he does as well as the last centre back we got from Brentford.
