Sorry if this link has already been posted. IMO this guy doesn't say much at all, just that he "can't see billions being spent." Tbh I don't think anyone was thinking we'd spend billions you spanner.

And apparently because of this we all have to be cautious :?

Vision I was always dead set against this sort of foreign investment but just the reaction to it has made everything worthwhile whether it goes ahead or not.

What will really make my January though is if after all the talk about doing a Chelsea/Man City etc we end January's transfer window with :-

1) An Irish bog player (c)Dodger
2) A girl called Karley from Brentford Ladies
3) 86 year old Jason Roberts.

I'd laugh too.

Although I'd prefer it if we spent a reasonable amount (couple of mil max) on a creative midfielder or a quality striker.

We are going to do what we have always done, except maybe rather than league 2 punts it'll be league 1 punts.

We've always tried to shun buying overpriced ego's and I can't see us doing it now.

Before anything else let's see what CS says when he speaks to the media this afternoon. One presumes the media will pick up on the Everton saga and ask questions about that.

I'm also sure that JM trusts these people given that number of times and assurances he's given down the years that whoever he sells to will be to the benefit of the club.

Let's also not forget that supposedly £X has been made available to the club in this transfer window so one presumes that there is money there to back their talk which must be further down the line than Everton got.

I would think that unless the Zingarevichs back out of this deal as well the money is more or less guaranteed.

It's obvious that in the Everton saga that as soon as the media found out about Zingarevich he pulled out and left Samuelson in the lurch.

Hopefully there are some assurances that won't happen this time. Anton certainly doesn't seem to mind the limelight. Or he's just got enough money of his own now and doesn't need his dad.

who knows. Too many unknowns. I just like speculating.

Event is being covered by reps of Sky Sports, BBC South, BBC Berks, 107FM and local press. Wonder if Sky will have any live coverage on their Sports News channel....

Don't worry, BBC Berks will have thier priorities right; listening now to find out what's happening.

David Platt says Howard Webb must have seen it live, and the FA have no right to make a judgement based on slow motion video.

Can someone stamp on JM's head so we might actually get some coverage of this f//ing buyout?
