Awful error at elland road this weekend, red card for catching the ball outside the box..sonko also chipped in with some comedy too. Poor Alex is getting crap off the Ipswich fans, who have a massive ego problem with signing our reserve keeper. The Leeds fans know differently.

I'm sure Alex will come back well, but certainly a tricky start for him there. Federici looking imperious as no.1 for now.

Its was pretty shocking, I'm just glad he made the mistake for someone else and not us!

Have to say I did chuckle when I saw it (poor Ipswich..) then burst out laughing when followed up by Sonko's effort.

Ipswich fans see the transfer as being totally pointless as they can't sign him permanently and have two other keepers who are much more experienced. They all want defenders to come into the club and think Jewell is wasting money on this one.

This is the sort of experience Alex or any young keeper needs. Playing behind Sonko.

Nothing in football will be tougher for him in the future.

Harmless. Kids like to tweet him and he's just showing some gratitude.

Alex McCarthy can really help RFC with a MOTM performance to keep out Southampton tomorrow night.

Come on Alex you know it makes sense!

That'll be an easy 3 points for the Saints then.

I would not put too much money on that. Ipswich have won 5 of their last 6 games and are second in the last 6 match form table to us - just ahead of Southampton! Could be interesting.

Mixed bag, but clearly improving especially with that 5-1 thumping of West Ham,
a result that might yet send us up

H 5-1 West Ham
A 3-2 Coventry
A 1-0 Portsmouth
H 3-0 Cardiff
A 0-3 Brighton
H 3-0 Bristol

P6 W5 L1 15-6 15 Points @ 2.5 ppg average
