Rev Algenon Stickleback H
Four Of Clubs its a bit like a slightly tidier version than Larges Lane .

Isn't that like being a slightly prettier version of Susan Boyle?

Four Of Clubs ... draw made for the 5th Round of the FA vase:

Tividale v Peterborough Northern Star
Shortwood United v Ashington
Staveley MW v Oadby Town
Billingham Synthonia or Runcorn Town v Bournemouth
Wisbech Town or Dunston UTS v Bethnal Green United
Whitley Bay v West Auckland Town
St Ives Town v Gresley or Three Bridges
Herne Bay v Larkhall Athletic

... ties due on Feb 11th (H v Cov) so I'm hoping some of the more southerly one's above make it through to the last 8 - though I've been to Bournemouth, Larkhall and Shortwood.

Looks like Tivi and Whitley Bay are the usual suspects here although the tie versus West Auckland should be a cracker. Is Whitley Bay's sole purpose in life to win the F.A. Vase for ever?

Amazing game at Stag Meadow today.

Windsor 3-0 down after half an hour, we then had a penalty just before HT. then steamrollered Molesey in the 2nd half and ended up winning 4-3.

I love a good comeback, me!!

Oh and Guildford lost 2-1 at home to Wembley, so a rather decent day for Windsor FC!

Four Of Clubs Guildford City 1-2 Wembley – ... and only City’s 2nd league defeat; first home league defeat since 19th Feb last year – now lead Windsor by 8 pts who have 2 games in hand.

And 21st April sees Windsor v Guildford City at Stag Meadow. Just so happens to be the penultimate league game of the season.

If Fleetwood Town get promoted to the League next year, they'll likely play Macclesfield. If a local paper doesn't use headline "Fleetwood-Mac" I'll be sorely disappointed!

Dorking v Windsor tonight in the CCL if the pitch doesn't freeze. 7.45pm kick off. I will be very pissed off if I get there and it gets called off at the last minute.

For those wanting to see something slightly different, try Egham Town v Guernsey in the CCL Premier Challenge Cup. Game goes ahead after a pitch inspection. Again, 7.45pm kick off.

Game called off about 1 hour before kick off. Away to Horley Town on Saturday is in doubt judging by the current weather forecast.

No chance of the game being on if forcasts are correct. Going to be colder than Keith Scott's relationship with some fans! :D

... will leave the usual NL Review 'til pretty late tomorrow - likely to be a VERY short list indeed of games surviving the freeze locally.

Bath v Grimbsy already OFF in tomorrow FA Trophy.

Whiteknights Panthers U9s match at Woodford Pk an early casualty; so my lad and his teammates won't have the chance to continue their great work from last weekend when they unexpectedly bt the 3rd place side 1-0 :)

UPDATE : Just been posted on the Hellenic Chat Room ALL matches tomorrow Sat 4th Feb postponed in that league - decision by League Executive.

... In the end I couldn't be bovvered to put up a preview since the fixture lists were collapsing like dominoes.

By my eventual count 3 games survived in our 'local' pyramid leagues:

Guernsey bt Frimley Gn 5-0 but that's virtually abroad!

Team Solent 3-0 Warminster ..... And I was there 8)

.... And this is the real shocker:

Westfield 2-2 CB Hounslow

...... Reportedly St Neots had volunteers rolling burning oil drums up and down their pitch all AM - passed an inspection @ 13:00

Match Ref called it off @ 14:45

... needless to say - no preview again this week, as I'd imagine 99% (or more? :? ) will be OFF locally.

... entire Hellenic wiped out again; - no news yet from Wessex - maybe waiting til tomorrow AM - besides doubt if Tadley will survive the freeze; CCL are not expecting any games to be on other than Guernsey -

Was some suggestion Windsor would 'like' to play tomorrow if at all poss. but I'd be very surprised if any in our local area are on at NL.

.. for an idea of how its impacting the South - League games already OFF at Pal@rse, Brentford, MK Dons, Stevenage, Wimbledon, Barnet, Dag & R

OFF in CONF: Hayes v Lincoln (@ Woking)

.. only Farnborough have declared OFF so far in the CONFS. Maidenhead due to host 3rd place Welling - Basingstoke @ Havant - who were making very positive noises earlier today about the prospect of play.

Widespread postponements already announced across the area in the Ryman & Southern Leagues.
