Reading will lose out to Norwich City today for the signature of Jordan Rhodes and immediately turn their attention to Grant Holt.

Reading are looking into the possibility of signing Thorgen Hazard from the French second division side RC Lens.

He is the younger brother of Eden, who is coveted by many of the worlds top clubs.

Thorgen is a midfielder who has performed for the Belgium setup from U16-U19 level.

They just keep getting more and more hilarious. Can't wait to see the quality of the jokes we'll get in the summer on this site.

Keith Andrews is on his way to Hogwood to have a medical with Reading. He has turned down a contract at Ipswich, two other clubs also interested but it looks like Reading lead the way.

----------

Reading have also made a loan offer Tottenham attacking midfielder Gio Dos Santos. Rejected by Spurs. They want to sell.

Reading have been knocked back in a bid to sign Jay Bothroyd on loan until the end of the season with a view to a £1.5m permanent signing in the summer.

No real source for this one but could, in reality, see this one happening, he has a decent scoring record at this level and although we have been linked with many loan suggestions over the past few weeks I cant see us laying out any more finance until the deal with Anton is nailed down, which I understand should be within the next few days so maybe see something happen then ?

well how doesn't it? loan to perm, affordable, not in the first team picture at his parent club. IF we were after a striker, then it would be very plausible.

Not really, I don't see how its plausible either. Therw is no way we'd pay close to 1.5 million for Jay Bothroyd and just like that figure has been made up...so has the rest of the story.

It's plausible because if we wanted him then he is affordable, where as the likes of Owen isn't (likely).

To say Bothroyd isn't worth £1.5m of anyone's money at this level is quite frankly ridiculous :!:
