FiNeRaIn Roberts at his peak no? Roberts at 34? Yes. Its you who is talking nonsense so I am dismissing that attempt of an insult. Cox is a good player.

So what attributes has Roberts lost since his peak then huh?

Feel free to give examples.

Simply saying his age wouldn't count.

On another note, try to be grammatically correct when dishing out rhetoric, otherwise it makes your retort look simple. And gash.

The fact you needed to edit while calling me out on grammar says it all. Muppet.

Still no answer. You're so knowledgable. Sorry for marching in to your thread (playground) and asking you to back yourself up. My mistake.

I mean are you really disputing the fact that age takes its toll on players? I like roberts he's a good signing, however he has definitely lost a few yards of pace compared to yesteryear and also his fitness is a lot less, that was evident on saturday. I like him, he was still sharp and solid and no doubt has matured with age, he was released by Blackburn for a reason...he's not the level he was in his prime. Cox however is a rotation player for WBA and has 10 caps already for Ireland who have Keane, Doyle and Long as other options, he's sharp and scores goals. I'll concede saying he was easily better is not the case, however I do believe he's currently better and that would be why WBA wouldn't release him unless it was for a substantial fee.

fitness? you've seen nothing to suggest that. certainly match fitness will improve in the coming weeks. pace? looked absolutely fine on saturday. bristol city couldn't handle his 34 year old legs. strength? how do you come to that conclusion?

I was there in that 6-0 loss to bristol rovers, I can't remember if he scored 3 or 4 but he was lightning that day, definitely looked a lot slower since then.

Jesus, do you just follow me round and reply to everything.......

The question was "since his peak".........those attributes decline as you get older, just as Terry Henry isn't now the same player at Arsenal, from when he left them 5 year ago.

A loan move may be an option, unless something ridiculous happens within the next 8 minutes...

cox scored hatfuls in the division below, but has never been a real premiere league striker, and hasnt even managed it at this level yet.

id happily have both of him & roberts
or either, but to say that cox is definitely the better player is daft

As pointed out, im not disputing that fact i was simply answering the question of what attributes has Roberts lost since his peak.....there is no way he is as quick and strong as he was when he was first at West Brom & Wigan etc
