I'm afraid sometimes there's more too it than the away fans travelling.

I understand there can be more to it but if a game is called off at 10.15am, there is no chance of that pitch improving enough before kick off.

They did have an earlier one and said that the pitch was deteriorating and so had another one at 10.15 and presumably it had deteriorated further so they called it off. I am not on the coaches but I had a call before 10 to say there was to be another inspection and so the coaches have turned round.

One benefit of going on the coaches is that STAR has insurance for this sort of occurence and so the rearranged trip will be free to those who booked for today, unlike most making their own way there.

Given the weather forecast and general conditions, if the pitch was heavily frozen at 9.00am nothing was going to alter between then and 10.15am.

Would love someone to come up with a decent reason as to why the pitch inspection could not have taken place at 9.00am.
