He's at the wrong club tbh - the way liverpool play is not to his strengths. He'd be better off at someone like Spurs/Villa/Stoke

Suarez and Carroll, for the options that it gives Liverpool going forward. I see Suarez as very much a Torres ‘replacement’ – good feet, pacy, skilful, a handful for defenders, and we’ve seen for Uruguay he can score. Carroll is a tall, physical striker Liverpool haven’t had since Rush (I’m not counting Voronin or that German guy who played about 10 games) – but they need a ‘plan B’ that plays to his strengths. In that sense, Downing has been a massive disappointment.

Like ALF at Reading, if you don’t create chances for Carroll, he isn’t going to score. Ballooning one over from 10 yards doesn’t matter so much when you’ve had four chances and buried one of them, but at the moment Carroll is snatching at the chances he gets.

Might be the nicest man in the world outside of football, however within it he's not. The way he has carried on this season has been shameful, especially regarding the suarez ordeal. Unbelievably I quite like him before this stint at liverpool even with his celtic connections. The modern game maybe is just not for him.
