Focher
Focher Grayson must go soon surely

first with the news yet again 8)

Ahem...

4 weeks before Focher's post... Royal Rother A Leeds supporter in my local predicted 3 weeks ago that Southampton would fade away in the 2nd half of the season and that Leeds were pretty poor and would not get into the play offs.

He also said that Grayson would be gone soon as he has taken the team as far as he can.

Well that rubbish for a start then. He could have taken them much further down if he'd carried on.

Harry's now odds on to be next manager to go. Can't see it myself. Even if he gets offered the England job, you'd think he'd finish this season with Spuds.

Depends on what bonus he gets for getting them a top four finish.

I actually feel quite sorry for McCarthy, despite their pretty appalling form, as he's built a decent squad there and he seems to be one to stand up for common decency and doesn't just cosy up to the media with bulls**t all the time.

Let down by the players? Not so sure about that, perhaps it's just his time has run it's course and they need a fresh impetus to gee them up. Player wise they're good enough for the Premier League.

I feel sorry for him cos i like his honest approach but yesterday it highlighted his inability to get the best team out there and playing well........for instance, Doyle on the wing???

Problem is, i dont think there is anyone out there who can do any better with Wolves this season

New Leeds boss?

Coppell occasionally played Doyle on the wing, notably in the 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Mongdivs on twitter suggesting Warnock to Wolves and McCarthy to Leeds. Also some calls for Mr Curbishley to the midlands.

Playing a 4-5-1 though........Wolves weren't, so Doyle was never going to track back like a winger, giving West Brom lots of space

+1 for being a fan of McCarthy. I always wanted them to stay up because of him, Doyle and Hunt. Still do, on balance.

McCarthy to Leeds seems like an obvious move but it will be interesting to see where Wolves go from here.

I can't see them taking a gamble on an up and coming manager like Poyet, Lee Clark or a McDermott type. They'll surely be looking for someone with a bigger name and some proven Premier League experience. Can't think of anyone who fits the bill for them really, apart from perhaps Steve Bruce who's usually been pretty good in the short term.

mccarthy did a terrific job with wolves, and not with a huge amount of money either in all fairness. the thing with wolves is they really do believe their own hype that they are a huge club, and they're not. when ever they struggle their fans vanish in their thousands. talk of expanding the custard tart arena to 50,000/55,000 is ludicrous, and with one stand built they've now stopped work on stage 2 of 4. they should have instead focused on the playing staff and stuck with the 28,000 they already have, certainly for a couple more years.

Losing 5-1 at home to your nearest and bitterest rivals leaves any club with very few options. Never liked McCarthy - all stems back to when he managed Millwall. Why would anyone employ Curbishley? He has been out of the game for too long. My money is on Steve Bruce. He will keep them up only to get sacked 12 months on for having wasted millions and taken Wolves to rock bottom.

How long was Dalglish out before his 2nd stint with Liverpool?

A long time I think.

Don't think it matters that much.

What odds would I get on Moyes being Spurs manager next season?
