Woodcote Royal I'm not interested in other clubs 'keepers but even if Fed was deemed good enough for back up in the top flight we would know about it.

Why not show me any evidence, amongst all the wild speculation that goes on throughout any transfer window, of the slightest top flight interest in our goalkeeper.

All I remember is panic over losing McCarthy.

I heard Adie Williams claiming Kebe had had just 6 decent games this season when his recent absence has shown just how blunt we look without him........................... :|

If Federici is the best in this division he must be one of a very poor bunch that no one deems good enough for the top flight.

If I get it right, you're saying that Feds can't be the best keeper in the Championship because no Premier league sides tried to poach him in the recent Window?

What a load of codswallop!!!

Feds ain't gonna want to move to warm the bench, or sit in the reserves for a PL side, he'll want to be starting, or at least in with a shout of starting....
How many Premier League sides signed new first / second choice keepers in the Window? None that I can think of.....

And why would we hear anything if a side approached Hammond, simply to be told "bugger off, he's ours"?

We have taken points from a number of games this season, not least vs Coventry at the weekend, on the strength of Feds performance, meanwhile I cannot think of any games this year since the first six (where we were defensively frail), where he can be held to account for us losing any points. That to me makes him at minimum, a very good 'keeper.

Incidentally, if he's not the best in the Championship, then who is? From what I've seen I can't think of many candidates....

Sandman has a brother.

That's constructive....

Am I not allowed to disagree with you?

It's my view that Feds is the best keeper at this moment in the Championship.
You, obviously believe that he is not, in which case you must believe that someone else is....so, who is, in your opinion, the best keeper in the Championship, if it's not Feds?
Simple question, should get a simple answer hopefully....

I'm not sure why this is the case, but I'm certain TBM has it right. The regulations you were quoting earlier are FIFA ones right? There's probably some FA/Football League/Premier League convention that dictates the 6 month rule doesn't apply to domestic transfers.

Well, I'm quite happy for him to produce it.

I'm certain players at least have the right to have discussions with other clubs once they are in the last 6 months of their contract, which only seems fair to me and was all I suggested in the first place.

And then:

If, by the time specified for such notice to be served, the Player has not

People with brains also know how to quote properly. They also come up with something other than an irrational personal dislike to present their argument. Basically I don't mind people disagreeing just come up with something more convincing than Woodcote has

Royal Rother Adie Williams, who probably knows a thing or 2 about goalkeepers, believes Federici is the best goalkeeper in this country outside the Premier League.
Were the other keepers on a golfing weekend in Spain when he said this?

Never met him but WR reminds me of DI Insch, a character in Stuart MacBride's excellent detective series.

Fat, eats too many sweets, loses his temper every 5 minutes and goes purple every time he does. I think he died from heart attack in the end, so just go careful WR!

Some of us have a living to earn, TBM and my day started at 05.00 this morning.

Although I remain convinced that there are concessions for players who are within 6 months of the end of their contract, I have yet to find it and you have provided solid evidence to the contrary so, fair play.

Having said that, I don't think you can claim to have been right about everything in this thread.

I'm touched by RR's concern but, whilst I would love to loose a few stone, it takes a lot more than a frank exchange of views to raise my blood pressure (recently measured as normal) and surely Jimmy the Jim's brief contribution says more about him than me.

The save at the start of the second half was top class, people in the pub saying it just hit him, what rubbish!

Top top save tonight - AGAIN.

POTS for me & this coming from a McCarthy fan....

Fed has been different class this year. If he doesn't win POTS it's a travesty quite frankly.

Yes Adie being a well respected goalkeeper himself.

Agree with BF, not the best keeper at the club and absolutely nowhere near the best in the league.

johnnym he's a good keeper (comparedto say Whitehead, Howie or Shepperd) but oxf*rd me he's no where near top Championship keeper.

i would agree that he's not the best keeper at the club, that is clearly McCarthy.
