chilipepper91 I do like Connolly - he's not afraid to play the ball with his right foot, despite being predominantly left footed. Think he slots perfectly into the back 4 system, which is all about deep coverage.

Nah, he's just cover, int 'ee? (allegedly)

Class act, will keep getting better, will play throughout the next 15 (no need for PO games) unless injured

Got lucky with his one error

Terminal Boardom That was a good save early in the second half by the fat Aussie but it could quite easily have finished up 3-1 to Burnley.

Hunt effort blocked astonishingly by Burnley player's head. Kebe header cleared off the line. Last minute poor final ball after 3-on-1 situation resulting in Kebe rush-of-blood effort blazed over.....it could quite easily have finished up 4-0 to Reading.

Absolutely.

Let's not forget Burnley had got 27 points from the last 14 games @ 1.93 ppg
so beating them was a very good result indeed.

robinsfriday I love this team. We don't play beautiful football. We don't cause major excitement amongst the media yet we go about our business in a professional and dignified manor. We're not Bond, we're Bourne. We turn up, we play it cool and we kick ass. If we went one goal behind I know we would have enough to get the draw or to go on and take three points. It's not luck. It's a quiet confidence that will see us get promoted this season. We are stronger than last season. It's a tighter, possibly better league this season but we have the experience and a little more in our locker this season than we did last season.

All I can say is, bring it on. We have the squad, we have the belief and we have the backing. Good to see you there too Anton.

URZ!

Really?? I thought first half we were shocking, second half little better. It's not football we are playing, and if we are the 1-0 to the boring arsenal lark I won't be supporting much longer. Not pleasing on the eye, just hoofball till we score, then keepball.

Best we've played in a while. Lets hope this is the start of us actually playing well. Hopefully it's not long before we dish out a good hiding to someone.

So bloody exciting. I do love this club! Always gives us something to play for every season.

Terminal Boardom Well, where do I start? Thank oxf*rd I did not spunk £400 plus on a ST to watch that shit. For anyone out there who genuinely thinks Reading are the real deal then think again. What football that was played came from Burnley. Gorkss's positioning for Austin's header was not even Sunday League. Roberts took his only chance well but other than that...

Referee lost the plot in the second half. How Wallace stayed on the pitch is beyond me.

Hunt's ball across in stoppage time at the end of the game was a complete joke.

The back 4 apart from Pearce were a complete shambles. The midfield duo

IMHO, a draw would have been a fair result.

And don't get me started on that fat lump in goal. WTF does Feds do? Where is the communication or dominance of the box?

I have seen far better non league games this season. That was shit!

I normally pay attention to what you say, but you're spouting complete bollox.

The back 4 were rock solid, aside from Connolly getting caught out in the first half. We're not the finished article, but we're getting better every game. The only thing i do agree with is Hunt at the end, he bottled it when he should've shot.

IMHO, a draw would have been a fair result.

That ranks lower than some of the weak shit Kes comes out with

Well earned victory tonight, Burnley looked alright but we deserved to win.
Ref was poor, luckily he was poor for both teams.

Really impressed by their full backs especially in the first half.

Well played Reading.
That was a tough game against a decent side, fine margins, fine margins,

More Importantly, I do hope whoever collapsed on the North Stand Concourse before kick off is OK.

Ok, I only saw it in the pub (remember the County Arms, Winch?) but it would have been a different game if that early Burnley header had gone in.

We were good, but this team is nothing like good enough, imho. Its a poor league if we get promotion this season.

But we won, so I'll open another beer and be happy.

Despite my negative post, Roberts has the look of a man who is enjoying his football again.

He can't have been happy being "out of favour" and is clearly loving playing and scoring again. Long may it continue.

mx but this team is nothing like good enough, imho

So you class 11 wins in 14 games as 'not good enough'?

I was seriously worried about this game

My bet was Roberts FG and Reading to lose 1-2 !!!

We might not be spectacular but we limited a very good Burnley side to very few chances
(and they have been scoring for fun recently and had won 9 in 14.

The header came from a mis-judgement on the wing, rather than us outplayed
and our keeper yet again stopped a 1-on-1

We had some very decent chances to score, and. crucially DID score.

25 games and an average of 2 ppg. That is not accident. That isn't luck

We have a couple of players capable of magic, a rock-solid defence
and two totally brilliant defensive midfielders. The Manager is a genius
and we play to our strengths.

I'm sure some of you write this nonsense for a bet. How the fcuk could we have been shocking :| I know there are teams who are easier on the eye but we are fast becoming a highly impressive unit that knows how to win home and away.

Whilst I would love to see a more cultured side, it makes a nice change to see a Reading team getting the basics right. Even our 106 side failed to value possession as highly as it should have whereas this one shuts out the opposition from the moment it secures a lead.

This could be one of the biggest dog fights ever for a place in the top flight and right now we have to be one of the favourites to succeed.

Errr, 13 goals in the last 10 games is hardly 'scoring for fun'...
