ZacNaloen If we get promoted we cannot afford to play like this next year, a midfield that can keep the ball is required. And it's not just about passing, which was dire, but protecting the ball when in possession as well.

I think this is a pretty spot on away performance.
My only concern is that Jobi has been a little off sorts.
Everyone in defence has been top drawer !

Kitsondinho Dellor says.....Slow start.....Flew up....Jet-lag......

It's just hilarious how every game they are surprised at how scrappy we've been- we've been scrappy ALL SEASON!

Humanistic Thanks for the links chaps.

The way we suck the life out of teams is immense, and the defence is looking strong. We do lose possession of the ball an awful lot though.

We have on occasion parted the sea in front of goal. Very lucky. Lol at the home support btw. Half empty ground.

I don't care about the quietly effective stuff, we need more of the ball if we are to survive if promoted. Constantly giving the ball away against good players = Concede.

Which is what we did to Middleborough when they started making mistakes.

The only thing in our favour is that we are quite comfortable off the ball and don't mind teams coming at us. Premier league teams are better than championship teams though and we'll find it much harder to find goals. (obviously)

I do not see many games, but I think Reading are playing well. Boro seem lost at sea some times, giving the ball away and so on. But what do I know I am only a spectator...

After the first 10 minutes when we were a bit sloppy and couldn't get hold of the ball we've looked very tidy without quite getting it right. We've broken forward fast and well and stopped Boro putting much together.

I'd prefer more creativity and ability on the ball in the middle, but it's hard to argue we aren't exceptionally effective when we've got a bit of confidence and form on our side.

We haven't looked like a particularly good side over the last few games, but atm we're looking almost unbeatable even so.

Zac - if we go up I'd expect us to switch to one up front and bring in a creative player to sit in the hole behind him, which will allow us to be a bit better on the ball whilst playing to our strengths in keeping things tight and breaking. Teams in the Prem will bring the game to us which won't be a bad thing for us as we struggle when teams try to shut up shop.

Thank heavens there's another fan out there who's in agreement that our playing style would not be good enough if we go up. It's worth changing it now and giving it a really good and ENJOYABLE go next season

'greed m8. Not really much to worry about thus far. Emnes looks dangerous, Jutkiewicz I've always rated a bit. If we can keep tabs on Bennett down their left and keep Robson from getting hold of midfield (as we have been doing), then we could get another breakaway goal.

Don't mean the pick on the lad, but since it's been topic du jour today, Jem's first touch has been pretty ragged. Otherwise, as the commentary on the live feed says "quietly effective".

Has Roberts been defending that far back? Saw him break-up several plays 1st half in areas I wouldn't have expected...

He had to, our midfield weren't getting near them. Ihaven't seen formations but I suspect they are outnumbered in central areas.

He's been no where near the box when we've broken forward a few times. Which has been a bit frustrating. Seems to be playing deeper than Hunt a fair bit, which is also an odd choice.

Stop talking about the Premiership. We're not there yet.

If we did get there we'd see a different team and approach..............

Wow Jimmy uses the same tactics I use on Fifa12: try to go right through players and hope you keep the ball! 8)

Why does Kebe think he can beat 10 players at a time?

He can't and consequently loses the ball...........again.
