Goals, although obviously a nice contribution, don't really reflect his ability as a defender though do they.

No but they're a nice addition given that he's already proved himself as a central defender at that level.

Has he? Proven? In 10 appearances, some of which have been at fullback, in a defence that's conceeded about 2 goals per game.

I'm not saying he isn't good, just I'm not convinced you can prove yourself in less than 10 games.

Well they're raving about him down there, so he must be doing something right.

Not doubting that he's played well or that they love him.

I just don't think you can really prove yourself in a handful of games that's all (remember he's played a few of those 10 at right back so you're talking about half a dozen games at centre half and already being proven).

If you mean prove his Championship potential, OK
but some players are obviously good almost the first time
they play at senior level

Gylfi? Owen, Rooney?

Manset to Shanghai Shenhua confirmed by the club to 30th June.

Very clever loan IMO. The players will be back to pre season early July so I think this is a make or break chance for him to get fit and come back to training up to speed for our pre season.

If he still has not got fit I cannot see him being here at the start of next season - whichever division we are in.

Good luck to him - hope it works out.

mcleod is an idiot, and is in that division because he's caused trouble everywhere he's been. bigger clubs took chances on him and binned him very quickly. we were linked with him once. a near miss, and a lucky one at that.

A few months ago some on here were clamouring for Obita and Robson_kanu or Antonio to be our starting wingers.
Jimmy and Jobi have well and truly seen off the pretenders at least for the time being.
