handbags_harris De Klassieker tomorrow - Feyenoord v Ajax.

Feyenoord 4-2 Ajax. Man City loanee John Guidetti scores a hat-trick, honourary mention to Ottman Bakkal (he of being bitten by Luis Suarez fame) who scored the third for Feyenoord. Christian Eriksen and Dmitri Bulykin with the fruitless opener and 80th minute consolation for Ajax.

Highlights in case anybody's interested. No away fans unfortunately due to the ban that is still in place - they would be behind the goal to the right.

It would probably be amusing if I knew more than half the club badges.

Below those two : the goat - 1. FC Cologne
Beside that with what looks like (0Y5) - Mainz 05
In the bottom right hand corner 1. FCK - Kaiserslautern
1. FCN - Nuremberg

The left hand side ..
The one most will know is - FC Bayern Munich
Beside that S04 - Schalke 04
Across from that to the right VfB - Stuttgart
Directly beneath Bayern Munich - Bayer Leverkusen
To the right of Leverkusen (blue & white flag) - Hertha Berlin
In the bottom left hand corner - Werder Bremen
To the right of Bremen : yellow BVB - Borussia Dortmund
To the right of Dortmund (the black & white B) - Borussia Mönchengladbach

In the PL version I presume the road to Bayen Munich would be replaced by Manchester City, and the same route with the added question about being a 12 year old living in Surrey to get to Chelsea.

Watching Nuremberg v Borussia Dortmund on ESPN right now.

Apparently the temperature is -12C, with a wind chill making it feel like -17C.

Not only are there players out there without gloves, some are wearing short-sleeved shirts!

At least they had the chance to move around a bit. I was wearing two pairs of trousers, boots, two pairs of socks, jackets, pullovers and I don't know what else (a vest?) and I am still experiencing difficulty feeling my fingers/toes/genitalia. And we bleeding lost 0-2 (which was only to be expected, and I like BVB anyway). But cold in seats is not fun at all.

Ronaldo's just scored a great goal for Madrid. Backheeled it in from 12 yards.

Feyenoord improve on last season's result at the Philips Stadion by only losing 3-2 this season.

Dragging this one up from the dregs.

A gr8 night (personally) for German football. Nuremberg more or less secured their place in the first league with a 4-1 victory over (a lot of Nuremberg fans second favourite team, but absolutely not mine) Schalke 04 and Dortmund looking very good to retain the title after a 1-0 home win over Bayern.

And my other local team (Greuther Fürth) almost certain to be promoted to the 1. Bl for the first time ever. A decent week.

According to (unconfirmed) reports in Florence, Ljajic told Delio Rossi (who has a disabled child): "You're more disabled than your son"

Haven't seen any of that myself but does show the club should have investigated before jumping to conclusions and sacking yet another manager.

Just heard on the radio that in Norway a player went down in the box and was awarded a penalty. The player then told the ref that he tripped over his own feet and that it was no pen, ref disagreed and after the player continued to state that it was no pen the ref gave him a red card. Other team missed the pen on purpose
