Wimb All getting a little bit personal and off-topic I think.... :|

If the topic is poorly managed, nonsensical, or outrigth fabricated "stats" then i'm all for discussion to veer off into Snowball's autism.

Alex Pearce has played 32 games this season and Jason Roberts has played 3.

Alex Pearce has 90 Snowball points and Jason Roberts has 30.

(like the concept though)

Why not take an average score of every 'back from the match' threads player ratings and create a season average. Or, why not do a player of the season poll?

oh...

West Stand Man Not up to your usual standard I am afraid. There is far too much subjectivity in this.

What constitutes 'brilliant' or 'major' or 'lesser'.

Stats based on analysis of facts I am comfortable with but as soon as the actual 'facts' are tainted by subjective judgement then the analysis becomes flawed.

Well since there have been only 3 "HC's" this season (two in one game)

and one instance of Kebe-Karacan setting up a cross for a goal

and two extra-special saves from Feds, I can live with that slight fuzziness

It actually says it's not balanced out for games/minutes played

Pearcey is averaging 3 points, Roberts 6

This thread is a self-parody, right?

That or it's just bewilderingly shit.

My thoughts exactly.

It must be a wind-up.

Although with comments like "my grown-up son is very intense, and some have wondered if he has mild Asperger's", I'd suggest Snowball refrain from trivialising and steer well clear of subjects he clearly knows oxf*rd all about.

Next, he'll be telling us he understands Autism because he once saw Rainman.

Can the players redeem their Snowball Points at any of the major supermarket chains?

Alex Pearce makes a goal line clearance, then launches into a perfect tackle plays an excellent cross field pass into Jobi’s feet who passes it to Karacan, who slides it to Church who stumbles on the ball, then falls over wins a penalty which he then scores.

Jobi 0
Karacan 0
Pearce 2
Church 10

Nice system.

Dear Bottom-Dweller,

The moron formerly known as Maguire raised "Autism" as a
topic (I must admit I was surprised he could spell the word.)

As it happens, my first degree is in Psychology, but I have
made no claims whatsoever about "knowing about autism".

No I didn't, as would be clear to anyone reading the exchange with an IQ of over 100.

Given that there's a fella on here with three autistic children I think i'm going to step away from this one tbh.

Yeah, that happens every game.

And Karacan would get an assist, McAnuff might get the HC, as might Pearce, who might also get an extra 5 for the clean sheet

41 tackles later, If he's f/cking lucky, Pearce get's the equivelent of Karacan passing the ball limply to Church who falls over and scores the resulting penalty.

Don't spoil him, Snowball! He'll grow up expecting the moon on a stick!

I just get the impression that your style and the way you interact on here fits very closely the profile of someone on the Autistic Spectrum. You tick a hell of a lot of boxes. Your subsequent responses do nothing but further reinforce that impression. Read some Tony Attwood, it might help.

However, I don't hold that against anyone with Autism because from experience, I know that having a reasoned discussion with someone with Autism can be like banging your head against a brick wall, especially when they resort to petty, repetative name calling and, as a neurological condition, there is nothing they can do about it.

Anyway, the thread is titled "Attacking Stats" and everyone seems to be attacking yours for being selective, subjective and wholly unreliable.
