Snowball and actually point out where small changes have actually been suggested.

One example is on this thread where it has been suggested to remove the Roberts assist for his own goal. You refuse and go on some garbled rant about it.

That is why people don't suggest changes because they know damn well you will just have a rant back at them about how they are wrong and you are right. That is why people just complain, and it also amusing when you respond.

So don't get on your high horse about people abusing you, etc and look a bit closer to home as to why. If you aren't going to change then don't whinge about people who criticise your stats.

That isn't "an adjustment".

That's saying "completely change your principles and approach."

I award 5 points for winning a penalty, 5 for a typical assist.

i believe I should award 5 points even if the pen is missed, but
have adjusted that to 4.

Removing Roberts' points would not be a small adjustment. It's throwing the baby out with the bath-water

Adjustments might be like changing goals to 6/7 points or downgrading the 5 for an assist, or deciding
a total of 15-20 points per goal was allocatable and divvying each goal up differently (an element of
subjectivity then involved) etc etc

So a world-class solo run and stunning shot MIGHT get all twenty points, another three man move might be split 5-5-10 or 7-7-6 or 10-10

I rest my case following that post which has compelling evidence in favour of my case. No jury would find you not guilty after that.

imo the keeper who saved the pen 1st time round should get the assist as it was he that gave the ball back to roberts

From Despair To Where? And the intellectual paucity of yours.

My God, "paucity"!!

Did you look that up?

You do realise 7/8 of HNA haven't a clue what that means.

They probably think it's a sexual disease

With the last 14 I'd be quite surprised to see more than 30 points. Ultimately don't see 2nd, Definately not top.

With our start we have left ourselves with no room for error and/or drop in for etc. The last 14 results could have afforded points drop more so had we started better. We aren't afforded that though.

Snowball
Wycombe Royal Just because ONE, yes ONE, website agrees with you does not mean you are right. There is a common theme in your rambling post - I.

The problem is that the HNA masses do not agree with you and becuase of that no one will take your stats seriously.

I don't care. And anyway it's not the HNA masses, it's the loud empty-vessels
into blood-sports, plus a couple of girlie camp-followers (technically male)

You really don't get it that there ISN'T a right and wrong in this.

I-CHOOSE-TO-AWARD-A-MAJOR-CONTRIBUTION-FOR-WINNING-A-PENALTY. END

I totally, utterly accept your view that you don't like or want that stat.

But your view is irrelevant.

You can have stats where you award players extra points for "looking hard" if you want.

That's your prerogative.

It's my prerogative to do the stats as I think fit and I will continue to do that, and people like you
just make the thread bigger, and I get loads of air-time. I can live with that.

You should know though, that the way to make these stats go away is to IGNORE THEM

As you are obviously quite content to post just for your own benefit and not for HNA as a whole, you won't mind if I use my prerogative to roll up all your statspam into a single, easy to ignore thread?

Any other new threads will just get binned.

Good moderation Platy.

Sorry for my contributions to destroying the board / trying to make snowball see a modicum of sense and take into account the majority view.

I like snowballs posts and find them interesting as do a few of my mates. If you people don't like them why don't you just stop reading the thread instead of continually trying to rip the stats ( and snowball ) apart..... Oh yeah , it's because your mongs and like to show off to your equally retarded mates :x

Well they are pretty much dead mate... all piled into one thread

I have to stop using numbers because the barking few have spoken

I'm currently developing a player grid for match assessments

THIS IS FOR THE INTELLECTUAL ON THE BOARD.

oxf*rd BRILLIANT LIKE ANY OTHER oxf*rd BRILLIANT PLAYER FROM AGES AGO, SORT OF, LIKE

BRILL, ISH, BUT NOT oxf*rd BRILL, JUST A BIT BRILL AS IN A BIT BETTER THAN VERY GOOD

VERY GOOD

I KNOW HE PLAYED OR HE WAS SUB, HE COULD OF SCORED BUT HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND VERBS

DEFINITELY NOT ACTUALLY CRAP, DID HE PLAY, I CAN'T REMEMBER

NOT QUITE CRAP

CRAP -

GASH - JUST LIKE YER AVERAGE GASH, EVEN WORSE THAN CRAP, AND THAT IS GASH

GASH - BUT EVEN WORSE THAN GASH, LIKE, I MEAN VERY GASH

GASH - SO GAS HE HAS A DEGREE IN GASH FROM GASH UNIVERSITY

AND THIS GRID IS FOR THE OTHERS

DEAD GOOD

Actually it's because we're trying to show how flawed they are and improve them through feedback. It's hard to avoid them given (until Platy got involved) there were about 3-5 in the top half of the board and whenever anyone else lets them die he keeps bringing them back with updates no one else seems interested in. I say no one else, because the only other people who post on them seem to be the ones who are providing the critiqueing.

Monk, I appreciate your post.

Over time plenty of people have voiced support but I guess they
have been frightened off by the continuous attacks and my response
to those attacks.

Ian Royal is, of course a total liar and chooses to go whichever way
the wind blows in a desperate attempt to find someone to drink with

Make no mistake, the vast bulk of attacks on these stats have been attacks on me,
very personal, very targeted, very deliberate

IR, of course, perfectly shot himself in the foot just days ago

By posting a URL which showed that I was indeed right when I said 85% of
penalties in the championship are scored directly

As for the future. It's a shame we couldn't have had a show of hands and find out who actually would like the stats to continue.

So far, as far as I can see there are two of us. Better get used thento "Gash and Brill and
unsubstantiated bullsh!t posted after deep analysis of radio broadcasts

Just because people don't post in a thread doesn't mean they arent interested in it. I read nearly every thread on here but rarely post a reply, this doesn't mean I don't find the thread a good read.
I don't agree with every posters thoughts but don't resort to mud slinging, why do others do this ?

Lots of answers to that which will vary poster to poster, circumstance to circumstance.

To relieve boredom, lack of patience, they find it fun, out of frustration when being polite hasn't got you anywhere, bad mood...

Just a few examples.
