To be honest. At the end of the day there is only one stat that really matters. And thats how many times we stick the ball in the net. Shots per nano second don't really matter. Nor do our conversion rates from penalties because it wont dictate our next penalty. Its all based on history anyway which in itself is a major flaw because no one can predict the future, yes it is an OK indicator of what would happen if everything that happened in the past happened with exactly the same conditions, but it wont so ..... people who don't like the stats just take it with a pinch of salt and look forward to the amazing unpredictability of the wonderful game of football.
