Ade Williams

by The Real Sandhurst Royal » 10 Aug 2011 07:47

I listened to BBC Berks last saturday and thought Ade Williams pre and post match comments on the Millwall game were a breath of fresh air.

He talked sense and saw the game and the way the players played as it was.

Keep it up Ade.

Does he get paid for every text that comes in? Listened to it until I lost the signal driving back up to Manc and he couldn't stop saying it...

Still improving imo. Good on him.

(Always smirk when he reads out Birminum's result.)

Something along the lines of the FSB giving Adie the day off from training over the phone to Adies delight, when it was in fact team mate Darren Ferguson impersonating FSB. (suppose they do sound similar)
Adie of course played golf, went racing or something when the rest of his team mates were training.
At Wolves at the time of course.

I heard that but got confused because of the way he explained it. Thank you for the translation :D

Everyone has to start somewhere, I think Adie will turn out okay. I can remember Gary Lineker doing a programme called something like "Gary's golden goals" he was more wooden than an oak table, my toes were curling to snapping point. Love him or loathe him Lineker is now smoother than a Bentley. Adie is just an apprentice at the moment, I am sure he will be fine, at least he is a decent chap.

Adie Williams. Lovely bloke, awful radio broadcaster.

Adie Williams You're listening to {pause} aRadio Barkshear, stay tuned for coverage of {pause} aReading versus Millwall.

And the way he says Birmingham REALLY gets on my nerves.

Adie Williams Derby 0, Berminum 2.

Lets be honest, he really hasn't got a radio voice has he?

Lots of Berminums again last night. Also, he couldn't make his mind up if West Ham were at home or away to Watford.

They appear to have drafted in the "Weather" girl from South Today, Alexis Rogers to read out the sports news on BBCRB now as well. What's THAT all about?
