Cobi The irony of this is Friday's Legacy knew about this days ago and beat Jonny Fordham to it, who blocked him on Twitter previously for calling him unreliable over the Wolves McDermott rumours.
HNA? 1 - 0 Jonny Fordham

floyd__streete Massive LOL @ the whole football transfer window thing. Presumably this is an 'emergency loan'. What specifically is the 'emergency' here? We unexpectedly find ourselves in the title race?

grey_squirrel The only plus to this is that he will want to put himself in the shop window, otherwise this is (probably an expensive) waste of wages. He is past his sell by date and will add nothing and nothing different to anything we currently have or more importantly how we are succesfully set up in midfield.
Not impressed.
5 years too late.

not impressed? so if karacan or leigertwood get injured and were out for the rest of the season, how happy would you be with having to rely on jay tabb?
this signing makes perfect sense to me, and he can cover defence if need be as well.
mullins has experience of 2 play-off finals, winning one, and has won an fa cup. that experience could be invaluable!
loan to the end of the season with a view to a perm deal is terrific business if you ask me.

Friday's Legacy i imagine you said the same of roberts.
fwiw, mullins the mercenary who gave nothing to portsmouth, was player of the season last season whilst surrounded by some very good players. but don't let that stop you from writing off a player before he's even kicked a ball in our colours.
moo Good thing they didn't say why he didn't sign for us the last two times.
Gonna get behind him, hopefully he bolsters the squad and can prove his worth.
Welcome.

grey_squirrel Short sighted. Mullins is a mercenary (now); has contributed little to Portsmouth since he signed;
Yes, and? That's not a sign he'd be a bad signing!grey_squirrel Portsmouth will off load anybody and everybody to save cash (especially expensive ones);
So fecking what! He's 32, so he won't be around and first choice for 3 years. He'll be handy back up for a season or so. Even if we get promoted.grey_squirrel he turned down the chance to join us in his prime;
Yeah probably, but Mullins is better and the point wasn't cameo anyway, that's one or two games. It was playing the rest of the season if there's an injury.grey_squirrel Tabb can cameo for Karacan;
Oh dear lord! You think one of our better attacking players, and a winger to boot, would be a good choice to play defensive midfield in place of Legs? That's madness. Switching in to midfield to make room for more attacking threat with 25 minutes to go is a world of difference to starting a match there.grey_squirrel McAnuff likewise for Legs;
Very obviously not wanted by the club anymore and also not a defensive midfielder.grey_squirrel plus Howard can do a stint;
Love him to bits, but his best performances in the last couple of years have all be in defence. He'll work his socks off, but he won't be good enough in midfield for a promotion chase.grey_squirrel as can Bryn
He won't break the wage structure. We don't do that. And it's for about two months. Oh god, oh god, oh god! We're going to go bust now!grey_squirrel Plus he is probably costing a fortune in wages.

No Fixed Abode Had to laugh when I read. "I've waited my whole career to join Reading".
Basically he was playing a higher standard of football for ages with West Ham and Pompey and couldn't really give a sh1t about Reading. Pompey are in financial trouble, he's getting on at 32 year old (in football terms), so he moved to Reading.
He's making out like it was his dream move. (Or the OS is).

he didn't say he's waited his whole career to come here.
"It's been a long time coming really, I wanted to play for the club being local and it nearly happened last year, but didn't really come about. It's a result I've always looked for and I'm happy to see how well Reading have been doing. I'm glad to be here."

winchester_royal Just as an aside, has anyone ever met a group of lads on a night out that haven't come across as complete c*nts?
