Can't disagree with any of the overall views of the game - apart from the one bibbly-bobbly little deflected shot that scraped wide of Fed's post in the first half, I cannot summon a memory of a single dangerous move from Barnsley - as good as we were in the second half, they were appallingly toothless and although there was under 10k there, I have seldom heard a quieter home crowd. Roberts and Hunt worked their nuts off upfront, the centre-halves must have enjoyed their day off and Jem's second was a belter. Plenty of Barnsley applauded that one - nice to see.

Said hello to Dickie Bird outside the ground and the beer in the Dove before the game was excellent - the slightly concerning feature of the day was to be addressed as "love" by the hulking doorman outside the Dove as he sold me a match programme...

Yeah, as a sheffield local I get it often - either that or 'flower', said without irony or menace!

3 veesinarow Said hello to Dickie Bird outside the ground...

The Legend that is Dickie Bird was chatting to staff at the away end for about 20 minutes, just being really sociable. He chatted to a few Reading fans too during the time I was hanging around there. Top Man.

As for the match, the first half was forgettable and the 2nd half just wonderful - with of course all 4 goals scored right in front of the Reading fans. It strikes me that both Karacan and Leigertwood seem to be getting further forward in recent games. Karacan's 2nd will be a strong candidate for goal of the season.

Mullins looked reasonably comfortable, although there were a couple of dodgy moments. I didn't see anything which marked him as being more worthy of the RB slot than Cummings.

Good to see Kebe back - he does what he wants!

My old man was sweating at the end as he had a £5 bet on Reading to win 4-0 @ 40-1 praying we wouldn't score a 5th.
He walked away from Oakwell with an extra £205.

PieEater Forget about Soton, we should conceed the title and concentrate on the hammer bottling it then losing the playoffs. Second will do us nicely.

Pleased for Jem with his goals, Brians doing a great job motivating central midfield, they know Mullins is waiting to take their place.

WHAT??? Concede the title when you are only 2 points behind? Thank oxf*rd that BMcD is the Manager and not you!

While the title would be nice - promotion is the primary aim so keeping a close eye on the Pie and Eel merchants is the main priority. If we finish above them, we'll be up. Simples.

Its you.

£5 bet @ 40/1 wins you £205 (5 x 40 = 200 + original stake back)
