Like I said with my first post on this thread there are many who merit consideration. This season has been a complete team effort so far. And that is why I feel Jobi as team captain, along with his play, deserves a lot of praise.

Big big fan of the Jobinator. I'd put him somewhere between 4th and 6th, which just isn't going to see him feature in a vote for the top one.

Yes don't think I've seen anyone say he's a crap captain since about October. Funny that.

I wonder if any would like to suggest he still is a crap captain, or alternatively would like to take their comments back? Personally I feel a certain amount of smugness over that one.

You know what? I thought at the time the decision to make Jobi captain was a good one and never changed my opinion on it. He has not only acquited himself to his critics (the ones who trashed him at the beginning) but I think he has brought pride to himself and the club. Top player, top person. And I want to be out front saying that as the players leader of the team he deserves a big nod for the club currently sitting in 2nd in the table.

We have four really serious candidates this year. I've stuck with Jem because whenever we have needed a firm tackle or a gut-busting run this year he has produced it. I wouldn't argue if the voting public went for Federici, Pearce or Gorkss, they have all been good enough to win in many years.

Yep me too. Always been a Jobi fan. Gets far too much grief on here. Such an intelligent team player. The fact Harte has done well since coming back in is also to do with Jobi as he tracks back all the time to cover him but many people choose to ignore that. Massively under rated player.

Top 3 has got to be him Gorkss & Pearce - not necessarily that order but this team has been built from a solid defence all season. Only right that the GK & 2CB's are top 3.

I do love Jem too though!
