Interesting and in many respects Liverpool have had a poor season – sides who want to challenge for the top 4 find ways to beat the likes of Stoke, QPR, Norwich, Swansea and Sunderland.

But the headline and general sentiment of the article is a little overboard – 8 home draws, some of them stupid results, such as the home draws with Norwich and Swansea. Turn half of those draws into wins, and they are only two points off 4th spot, add a trophy and maybe two into that, and that’s a successful season. The margins are very fine.

To write ‘only a top four finish will be good enough’ with 9 games left and loads of points to make up, well that’s just for the sake of a headline.

Dominic King is right, Dalgish IS the right man for Anfield. Liverpool FC is not a Chelsea or Man City, it’s a club that has a soul, if Dalglish has brought unity back to the club, a smell of the ‘good old days’, and the owners, fans and players are buying into that, well in the long-term that’s better for the club.

Interesting that his net spend is £37m, which is essentially Andy Carroll. Liverpool have a much better team than when Dalglish first returned, and if you forget Carroll, that’s basically been done for zero cost, which isn’t half bad. He needs the likes of Adam and Henderson to improve, as he is unlikely to have that sort of money to spend again.

For me Liverpool’s priorities for next season have to be up front. Have heard rumours that Suarez’s strike partner for Uruguay might be tempted to join him, that sort of move would help to solve Liverpool’s main problem, which is scoring enough goals.

Dominic King is right, Dalgish IS the right man for Anfield.

I genuinely don't know how anyone can truly believe this. What has Dalglish done since his return to give any indication that he can turn Liverpool into serious contenders again? He's at risk of tarnishing his legendary status at this r8 and there's a few Liverpool fans I've spoken to who agree.
