cmonurzsouthbank1871cmonurz Dominic King is right, Dalgish IS the right man for Anfield.
I genuinely don't know how anyone can truly believe this. What has Dalglish done since his return to give any indication that he can turn Liverpool into serious contenders again? He's at risk of tarnishing his legendary status at this r8 and there's a few Liverpool fans I've spoken to who agree.
There can’t be many fans who want a return to the team Hodgson was fielding, with one full-back, Ryan Babel the only winger, and Dirk Kuyt on his own up front.
Last season when Dalglish came in Liverpool has had good a record as anyone in the league.
Add in the cup runs, you can’t under-estimate the impact a cup win could have on the club. And that Liverpool have competed with and beaten the best sides this season.
There has been progress, but Liverpool are light years behind the Manchester clubs, and that isn’t going to change in the foreseeable future.

LUX I respect your opinion, but you cannot seriously dress this season up as a success in any way.

cmonurz Yes, that's not going to change because Liverpool finish 8th instead of 5th.
If you're suggesting my mind would be changed by a freak 15 minutes at QPR (where Liverpool played well) and a rubbish performance against WIgan (where they didn't) then you strike me as somewhat of a knee-jerk football fan.
This season was about trying to qualify for the Champions League - it hasn't happened but there have been positives in their cup runs, and peformances against the big sides (I haven't checked but I'd venture they have the best overall record in the league against the top 4 or 5, I don't know).
The team remains inconsistent and a couple of signings have disappointed, but that's not grounds for Dalglish's sacking.
Now I wait to see how many constructive responses I get. Only my opinion guys, suck it up.

No Fixed Abode Funny how alot of proper scousers want Dalglish moved 'upstairs'. It's only the Southern based fans who 'follow' Liverpool want KKKenny to stay.

TheMaraudingDog Up until this weekend in Wigan had never beaten a top 6 side away from home in the Prem.
And they still haven't.
