2006 was quality. Let's all stand again. It seems to create a better atmosphere.

paulholsgrove Can we just have chants and songs about the team and the players out there. None of this gayness with socks.cheer the team through the battle of the first half, they get boo'd off we come out buzzing and end the game. Hopefully if the players see how much we are behind them and the team it should help give them some more energy and willness to win for the supporters too. If they see us pratting about they may think the game doesn't mean to much for us and the other 2,300 day trippers!

West Ham away in 2006 > West Ham away in 2012

All standing, all on the piss.
All standing only because the seats were wet from the downpour pre-match. Typical of Reading fans really

This West Ham fan did have a point though...

"I must admit never having met anyone who admits to supporting Reading.
To be honest beyond the period that Pardew spent there you'd have to describe them as a totally anonymous club.
Was astonished a while back to hear theyve been in existence for 140 years"

Carlisle are my second team on account of my moving from Reading up there when I was a kid and that being the nearest footy team. Google Michael Knighton and the UFOs - blinding story.

:| How do you know that 2012 won't be even better? Bit early to judge!

Plus '06 was a Sunday so wasn't it? Don't remember it being as boozy as some of the other Saturday games that season...

I almost feel sorry for him, how could little old Reading do this to someone?

I hate Reading, and I hate even more the fact that I hate them. They've irritated me since the "We've got your manager" game, and by the time we had that the feezing cold nine man **** bus queue bollox the other month that irritation had completely turned to hatrid. I've been successfully wound up by the ******* two bob *******. I wasn't even bothered about getting promoted as I'm loving the Championship, until these ***** popped up in second spot, i only want to go up to stop them (Olympic Stadium / Tottenham all over again)

I have been reading that site for a while. There is an element who make Brendy look like a reasoned cynic.

Should we win on Saturday* I would recommend anyone interested in public suicide, self harming, and general mongtwatishness should have the site on favourites.

Insh'allah, god willing, touch wood and other non-jinx making mumbo jumbo

grey_squirrel
royalexile It's the fallout of the Ford Dagenham plant. Family connections >>>>>>>>>> education.

What's that got to do with anything? Aren't the majoity of West Ham's "hard as nails" "eastend" support from Sarfend?

Innit?

My mate (from University) is a West Ham fan. He's from Upminster, where everyone supports West Ham: it's a very middle-class suburb. I can't hate West Ham, because I've seen so many Hammers games with him over the years, including cup finals. I respect Hammers fans for deploring Allardyce's style of play--as recently as Zola's team, they tried to play decent, attacking stuff.

He seems to have missed the 106 season and the year we beat them 6-0 finishing 8th in the Prem.

Obviously holding such records as most wins from the start of the season and most consecutive games without conceeding (in any competition still iirc) is also pretty anonymous.
