A five year old could have made a better job of compiling a match report rather than that load of biased bile.

The sad thing is I think they actually believe their own hype!

Much confusion amongst the Reading fans who presumed that the goal had been disallowed because there is no music.

Did have to chuckle at that bit :D

I chuckled all the way through.

Excellent stuff.

seems this game elicits a poetic (of sorts) response

Sun’s out
Cold beers
Walk to ground
Loud cheers
Packed stand
Blue and white
Go behind!
Stage fright?
Time for drinks
Half time nears
Two quick goals!
More beers
Second half
Keep it tight
Penalty!
Go high top right
Ian Harte
Looks controlled
Slots it left
Calm and bold
Plain sailing
Home and dry
But Vaz Te
Jumps high
3-2
Squeaky bum
13 Left
Getting numb
Stay cool
Fans loud
Here’s Ledge
So proud
What a game
What a club
Guess what?
Down the pub

where did I put that coat?!

Snowball That report is soooooo bad.

Did he watch it on the radio?

Are there a more voyeuristic bunch of 'tards in football than Reading fans? There are about 3 threads now full of "look what west Ham are saying  " threads. 4-2. We're not playing them again this season (unless we both f*ck up and end up in the play-offs. Unlikely) so who cares. Hard enough work reading this forum without worrying about other teams forums :|

This bit...

The Reading supporters, who seem to be under the misapprehension that their nickname is “the Royals” rather than “The Biscuitmen”

is just  coming from someone who supports a club with a minimum of two nicknames and two names for their ground. We changed our nickname 30 years ago and stuck with it. Get with the times - it's not 1966 any more, you muggy kant.

Just watched that break-out and how far Tabby ran to tackle
the WHU player on the wing and set up Jimmy.

Brilliant. Great little player

FWIW, I agree with the sentiments.
Our football club is evolving, changing. Our fans need to as well.
Being concerned with how other clubs' fans view RFC suggests an inferiority complex.
If we go up this year, we will be regarded as just another name on the fixture list.
The other clubs' fans couldn't care less about how many we take away, how much noise we make, or how many scarves are held up at games, whether our fans are /mongs/tards/plastics/whatever other childish handle you coose to use/, and that suits me just fine, because I don't care what they think either.
We are who we are.
The only thing that pushes my buttons in this respect is the warm feeling inside given by our lofty position in the football pyramid, and because of it, being able to cock a snook towards a certain red outfit in Wiltshire, and a Yellow abomination
some 26 miles to the North west.

Just a note: On the highlights, listen to how loud the roar is when Gorkss header goes in. Beautiful, just beautiful.

Thought Hunt's goal was louder IMO.

Man Friday
Ian Royal making yourself look stupid. Those photos are utterly conclusive. It would be stupid to criticise the lino if he got it wrong given he doesn't have the benefit of freeze frames, slow mo and repeat viewings. Doesn't mean he wouldn't have been wrong for giving offside if he had.

Well said.

We could have understood the lino getting it wrong in this instance but the freeze frame photo (produced by FL) does prove (literally) that the lino was right (from his good position presumably) and that he was onside.

A freeze-frame photo doesn't have to be taken in line - it's not the Olympics 100m Final.

Some people clearly gave up on maths and science at an early stage. Doesn't matter whether it's the Olympics' final or not (the results of some games could be worth far more than that), viewing angles and foreshortening through a camera lens do make a difference. As for 'looking' stupid Ian Royal, you have just proved yourself to be stupid with your claim that the photos are utterly conclusive. Strongly suggest maybe but that's all.

As I said previously, I think the lino did get it right but without being stood behind his shoulder (assuming he was correctly positioned) I can't say for sure and people relying solely on the photographs/video shown here, definitely can't.

'greed - Gorkss' was cheers of delight but Hunt's was a high-pitched scream of disbelief - for chili and co, anyway!

To be fair to me, I have watched the highlights three times and each time when hunt scores I am busy giving it the old Henman fist, so prob wasn't listening as much then.

On the day I went mental for the Gorkss equaliser and probably didn't have as much left in the tank for Hunt, but still gave it a good go.
