Egham Town 1-3 Windsor
A very comfortable win which confirms that Windsor finish no lower than 2nd. Sadly, Guildford won 5-0 at Dorking which means they only need 1 more win to clinch the title. Shock result of the day being Camberley Town 0-4 Cove. I have no idea where that one came from!

Next up for Windsor is next Saturday away to Colliers Wood Utd @ Molesey's ground. Does anyone know if they have Sky Sports / ESPN?

... can't help out there - haven't been to Molesey in yonks - re Cambo - not surprising at all - lost 5 in 6; and that's no goals in the last three now - though would have been stretching it a bit to expect Cove to win that big;

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
... here's the rest of the 'local' NL scores;
CONFS
SOUTHP
Ashford Town (Mx) 3-1 Fleet Town
Aylesbury 2-2 Chalfont St Peter
Burnham 0-0 Marlow
Chertsey Town 0-2 Bedfont Town
Northwood 1-2 Uxbridge
Slough Town 1-1 Beaconsfield SYCOB - Rebels missed a trick here a point puts them back level with leaders St Neots who went down again at home 1-2 to local rivals Biggleswade Town.
.... went to this one as our 2nd game of the day - nice 'new build' stadium on the E. outskirts of the town in a new estate akin to Kennet Island and right next to the railway station.
Started the day at Bletchley Town 0-4 Aston Clinton - very much at the opposite end of the scale down at STEP07 in Spartan South Mids Div 2 - there were a few shades of better times in evidence - not sure what level they reached at their height but there were what appeared to be derelict shells of seated stands and covered terracing. Very nice Irish Bar upstairs in the adjacent club building though. :)
.
SOUTH1S&W
Didcot Town 2-3 Abingdon United
North Leigh 4-0 Thatcham Town
CCLP
Ash United 2-2 Farnham Town
Badshot Lea 3-2 Sandhurst Town
Wembley 1-5 Hanworth Villa
CCL1
Eversley 1-3 Hartley Wintney
Sheerwater 1-8 {EIGHT} Spelthorne Sports
HELLP
Abingdon Town 1-3 Witney Town - puts a bit of a dampener on Bracknell's recent mini-revival - the Blanketboys have two extremely winnable home games left (vs Sarries and Kiddy) which means Robins are less likely to finish 3rd bottom and in a position of possible safety - even if they do pull off the implausible at Scours next week.
Highworth Town 1-2 Shrivenham
Holyport 1-2 Flackwell Heath
Oxford City Nomads 0-0 Slimbridge
Shortwood United 4-0 Fairford Town - still have a chance of catching Nomads
Thame United 1-4 Ardley United
Wantage Town 1-0 Reading Town - first defeat in 10 for RTFC
Woodley Town 5-1 Maidenhead United
WESSP
Alresford Town 2-0 Fawley
WESS1
Tadley Calleva 2-3 Fleet Spurs
Whitchurch United 1-2 Andover New Street
Four Of Clubs Bromley 1-2 Dartford
Popped down to a wet and fairly windy Hayes Lane yesterday for this turd fest. Bromley were shocking and unable to string any passes together yet somehow managed to make Dartford hold on at the end. Their keeper made a right hash of the goal which was a fairly simple free kick but of course made a wonder save in the 90th minute to deny an equaliser. Dartford were in total control for most of the game. Their back 4 was solid as a rock; their #2 was particularly assured.
Proper LOLZ though all round and great value for £12. Hurliman and Oranjeboom on tap ftw, Bromley's #9 who is a massive BEAST (with the touch of a rapist)...
http://www.bromleyfc.tv/season1011/inde ... Itemid=293
(LOL @ "muscular")
...one of the worst offside decisions I've ever seen and watching midget Goldberg pretending to be a manager. They have a Reading connection as well (I had one of those "I've seen that name somewhere before" when I was checking the programme):
I'm assuming the assistant Neil Smith isn't "our" old Neil Smith is it?
...yup t'would appear to be the self-same - left Croydon Athletic when they went under big time in very dodgy circumstances a few months back - skipped down to Lewes along with the 'Rams' ex-manager Tim O'Shea (ex ROI - Gills and Farnboro) and is now with him at Brommers.
Kitchen sink was thrown at SYCOB by all accounts, but Slough couldn't find a way through.
FoC, did they announce the crowd at St Neots? Wonder how many of the 1,060 that were at the St Neots vs Slough game went to this one...
Royal Rother 589 at St Neots.
...to see another bad result (and a very good one for Slough).
I saw them at Marlow on Saturday and they were rubbish. Marlow deserved the win, and for a bit of composure, would have got it.
You'd still back Slough & St Neots to go up though.
Well there you go; he was a proper gob-shite yesterday but soon shut up when they went 2 down.
Oh that a god-awful Posnan song thing got aired by the Darts...except they got it completely wrong :lol:
Well over 50% I'd say. Must have been 50+ behind the goal, at least 20 or 30 in the main stand and a good 20+ dotted around.
Hardly heard a peep from Egham tbh. Their average crowd seems to be circa 75 - 80.
Fixtures 120414
CONFS
12:00 Boreham Wood v Farnborough
Chelmsford v Salisbury
Dorchester v Staines Town
Eastbourne Borough v Hampton & Richmond
Havant and W v Dover
Maidenhead Utd v Woking – ‘Cards’ would secure the title with a win – Magpies in serious trouble currently 2nd bottom with away game at Dover and H v Eastleigh to finish.
Sutton Utd v Dartford
Thurrock v Basingstoke
Truro City v Bromley
Welling v Eastleigh
Weston-S-Mare v Tonbridge Angels
ISTH1S
Godalming Town v Crawley Down
SOUTHP
Barwell v Chesham United - The 'Generals' are currently in 2nd place and unlikely to catch Brackley, who'd be Champs with a win over Supermarine tomorrow. The PO places also include Camb City, AFC Totton & Oxford City - with Stourbridge hanging on, three points further back should anyone slip up.
Redditch United v Oxford City
SOUTH1C
Barton Rovers v Ashford Town (Middx)
Beaconsfield SYCOB v Northwood
Bedfont Town v Daventry Town
Biggleswade Town v Chertsey Town
Chalfont St. Peter v AFC Hayes
Fleet Town v St. Neots Town
Marlow v Aylesbury
North Greenford United v Rugby Town
Uxbridge v Leighton Town
Woodford United v Burnham
Bedworth United v Slough Town Sluff still level on points with St Neots; Bedworth are 3rd but some way back. The respective fixtures aren't games they should drop points in so Slough will have to hope their nerve holds and St Neots keep slipping.
SOUTH1S&W
Abingdon United v Sholing
Bishops Cleeve v North Leigh
Paulton Rovers v Hungerford Town - 'Crusaders' hanging on to last PO place North Leigh could overhaul them but are 5 pts back with three to play - may well be academic by then but the two meet on the last day of the season 28th Apr 8)
Taunton Town v Didcot Town
Thatcham Town v Bideford - 'Kingfishers' host Champs Bideford who, despite losing to Gosport last Sat, secured the title with a win over Taunton on BH Monday
… might head off for one of our ‘local’ sides away games above (Sluff, Chesham or Oxford C)
CCLP
Banstead Athletic v Farnham Town
Camberley Town v Molesey
Chessington & Hook Utd v Sandhurst Town
Colliers Wood United v Windsor
Guildford City v Raynes Park Vale
Horley Town v Cove
Mole Valley SCR v Ash United
CCL1
Eversley v Feltham
Farleigh Rovers v CB Hounslow United
Frimley Green v Sheerwater
Spelthorne Sports v Hartley Wintney
Staines Lammas v Bookham
HELLP
Ardley United v Fairford Town
Flackwell Heath v Shortwood United
Henley Town v Binfield - Moles picked up some silverware in what has been a slightly disappointing campaign - bt Shortwood 2-0 at Farirford last night in the Floodlit Cup Final. They are still in the Challenge Cup too, need to beat 1st Div West side Headington on Mon 23rd to meet on Highworth in the Final. Not sure they've decided on the venue/date for this yet either - probably waiting to see who gets there? They play Highworth in their final league match next week.
13:00 Highworth Town v Wokingham & Emmbrook
Kidlington v Wantage Town
Oxford City Nomads v Abingdon Town
Reading Town v Bracknell Town – sh*t or bust for Robins – they need something out of this their last league game and hope Witney get nowt out of their last two – BlanketBoys host fellow strugglers Kiddy in their final game next Friday.
Slimbridge v Thame United
Witney Town v Cheltenham Saracens
HELL1W
Easington Sports v Lydney Town
Headington Amateurs v Old Woodstock Town
...this PM's NL scores:-
Fixtures 120414
CONFS
Boreham Wood 4-0 Farnborough
Chelmsford 2-3 Salisbury – away side score 3 in the last 4’ following a sending off; incl 1 from Abdulai Bell-Baggie – isn’t/wasn't he ‘one of our kids’?
Dorchester 0-3 Staines Town
Eastbourne Borough 2-0 Hampton & Richmond
Havant and W. 0-1 Dover
Maidenhead Utd 0-1 Woking – Woking champs – Magpies not quite gone yet will need H&W and H&R to continue to slip up.
Sutton Utd 0-1 Dartford – ‘Darts’ confirmed runners-up
Thurrock 1-2 Basingstoke
Truro City 1-2 Bromley
Welling 0-1 Eastleigh
Weston-S-Mare v Tonbridge Angels 2-2
ISTH1S
Godalming Town 5-2 Crawley Down
SOUTHP
Barwell 2-0 Chesham United
Redditch United 1-1 Oxford City
SOUTH1C
Barton Rovers 2-4 Ashford Town (Middx)
Beaconsfield SYCOB 1-3 Northwood
Bedfont Town 3-0 Daventry Town
Bedworth United 5-3 Slough Town - disappointing reverse to 3rd place Bedworth - especially with St Neots getting three points at doomed Fleet.
Biggleswade Town 2-3 Chertsey Town
Chalfont St. Peter 0-1 AFC Hayes
Fleet Town 0-1 St. Neots Town - Fleet definitely 2nd bottom and will drop to STEP05
Marlow 0-1 Aylesbury - Marlow bottom and will also drop to STEP05 not sure if this will be Hellenic or SSML - their tenure at the wonderful old Arthur Davies Memorial Ground is in some doubt and they were looking to share (possibly on a new site) with Flackwell Heath.
North Greenford United 4-0 Rugby Town
Uxbridge 1-1 Leighton Town
Woodford United 2-3 Burnham
SOUTH1S&W
Abingdon United 2-1 Sholing
Bishops Cleeve 2-1 North Leigh
Paulton Rovers 3-3 Hungerford Town
Taunton Town 1-0 Didcot Town
... ended up at this one - not sure why I let my mate choose :roll: - Diddy were complete dump until about the last 10' - home side needed a win for safety - match became an error strewn yawnfest - I'd have chosed Bedworth v Sluff (see above :| ) - still he won the (cash prize) raffle and gave me 1/2 8) Taunton's Wordsworth Drive is a big old NL type 'Stadium' right in the middle of the Town. They 'lost' their clubhouse - and main source of income - to fire before the season started - they're working on a new (small) replacement social club but currently everything is still done on a temporary portaloo/portacabin basis - do have a 'mobile' bar & club shop but no hot food.
Thatcham Town 1-2 Bideford - away side already confirmed as Champs - N.Leigh could just edge Hungerford out of the last PO slot - GD is identical but are 6 points adrift each with two left - next weeks games could set up a cracking last day - Hungerford go to Bideford whilst N.Leigh would need to beat Poole - the two then meet at Bulpit Lane on the 28th.
CCLP
Banstead Athletic 3-4 Farnham Town
Camberley Town 1-2 Molesey – six defeats in seven now and they drop to 6th.
Chessington & Hook Utd 1-3 Sandhurst Town
Colliers Wood United 0-2 Windsor
(at Molesey FC)
Croydon 1-5 Wembley
Dorking 1-1 Hanworth Villa
Egham Town 0-2 Epsom & Ewell
Guildford City 4-2 Raynes Park Vale – confirms City as Champs – though Windsor pushed them mighty close.
Horley Town 1-1 Cove
Mole Valley SCR 2-1 Ash United
CCL1
Eversley 2-0 Feltham
Farleigh Rovers 1-3 CB Hounslow United
Frimley Green 3-3 Sheerwater
Spelthorne Sports 2-3 Hartley Wintney
Staines Lammas 6-3 Bookham
…some rumblings heard that there may even be three up to the Premier this season - possibly a few replacement candidates stepping up from the Surrey leagues – so that’s good news for Hartley Wintney who could be joining Guernsey and Bedfont Sports in the Prem.
Unclear if anyone will drop down from STEP04, though Whyteleafe are on the brink in Isthmian One South as are Fleet Town in Southern One Central - albeit with a better points tally. Not sure if Fleet would go CCL or Wessex if relegated. Southern One S&W only have one relegation slot as they have been running a team short due to Andover folding before the season started. Stourport are rock bottom and will drop into the Midland leagues.
HELLP
Ardley United 1-2 Fairford Town – stunning results ensures Bracknell finish last – could be Fairford get to escape the drop again
Flackwell Heath 1-1 Shortwood United
Henley Town 0-1 Binfield
Highworth Town 2-0 Wokingham & Emmbrook
Kidlington 2-2 Wantage Town
Oxford City Nomads 3-0 Abingdon Town Nomads 1 game left still 8 points above Shortwood who have three left but look as if they may be running out of steam at the run-in.
Reading Town 5-3 Bracknell Town - sounds like may have been a brave attempt but other results didn’t go their way – they were relegated due to terrible form over 40 games not just the last six which have been very good.
Slimbridge 2-1 Thame United
Witney Town 1-2 Cheltenham Saracens
HELL1E
Letcombe 1-5 Milton United - odd one here - Milton having endured a terrible season, are performing a bit of a swansong, as they have stated their intention to drop to the N.Berks league for 12/13 - shame - nice little club - albeit in the middle of nowhere - were Premier not long ago - I particularly liked them as they often played 'midweek' matches at home on Mondays.
Newbury [EIGHT] 8-0 Abingdon United Reserves – need a point for the title from last two games.
Rayners Lane 1-1 Chalfont Wasps
Hellenic Supplementary Q-F
Holyport 1-0 Chinnor - will play Highmoor in the S-F
HELL1W – not sure why I included these in the Preview this week – but just for the hell of it here’s the scores -
Easington Sports 3-0 Lydney Town
Headington Amateurs 1-3 Old Woodstock Town - Oh and for our 'New England' member above :wink: - sadly don't think either clubhouses currently serve real ales - John Smith's, Tetley's or Kronenbarf I think, on the occasion of my previous visits - you'd have expected OWT to at least get the odd Barrel of Hooky in?
Hook Norton 2-1 Clanfield
Trowbridge Town 0-4 New College Swindon
WESS1
AFC Portchester 2-0 Fleet Spurs
Cowes Sports 1-0 Tadley Calleva
Farewell!
and welcome Fleetwood to the FL
Remember watching them in the NW Counties (Hellenic equivalent) League just a few years ago.
Big spending ten fold crowd numbers and massive ground improvements...well done Andy Pilley
Be really great for the area if Lancaster City could start marching up the leagues and Barrow finally get a side together to regain league football...
^ love to see Lancaster do just that (the Morecambe derbies that I saw were immense)...very unlikely tho, the crowds just arent there (even during successful times), therefore the money isn't either.
City by name but not by definition
Barrow? ...I think they have done well but reached their apex
Maidenhead must win both their last two games however they have Dover away on Saturday who thumped them 4-0 in a match I and other HNA regulars attended earlier in the season. I reckon Maidenhead will be relegated on Saturday.
By the way a question for FoCcers or any other NL expert - Will Maidenhead drop into Southern League or Isthmian?
