Spirit of Elm Park Southampton>>>>>>>Shitting it.

First time they will have played at home under real pressure.

Very positive.

I don't agree. I actually don't think there's much pressure on either team now. I think it will be a cracking CLEAN game of footy. May the best team win...

Completely agree. In many ways the pressure is off both clubs BUT both will want to win the league.

Can't believe we're having this discussion!

I know. Bloody awesome. This is quite possibly my favourite Reading season of all time just for the sheer balls of it!

Can't wait to go to this game. Party atmosphere all round.

A draw would be fine, a win would be perfect.

It'll be worth buying the dvd just to see the contrast of both halves of the season. Bonkers!

I am kind of counting chickens a bit now....trying hard not to. Hopefully Brighton beat West Ham at the weekend now..

SLAMMED 6 points from our remaining 4 games required to secure automatic.

Nope. Unless it's a win and three draws to improve our GD.

If West Ham win all four games...

ATM we need 7 pts because of GD effects

Well, it's 7 actually. West Ham are still able to overhaul our goal difference.

I now hope it's all done and dusted before Birmingham - just seen their home record - 1 defeat all season.

Ah my bad.

Draw against Southampton then win against Forest and win promotion with a win against Palace please

West Ham haven't got 4 more wins left in them.

Agreed, but we still need 7 points to be sure.

After Friday it could be 1 point required

Just arrived in uk today. Saints will be my first game in 18 months. Going with some saints fans as well as a royal mob. Will definately be a stale draw.

Just as well I have a few more weeks to see us get across the line.......

Or to jinx us horribly!

I sometimes think it's a good thing that the players don't think like football fans.

Brian has got the WNG ethos too well engrained now. And it's rubbed off on me too. I genuinely just thought after tonight, yep just another three points, next up Southampton. Can't wait to go there.

We have got one foot in the PL but if we lose Friday which is highly possible then we need 7 points from 9, taking that West Sham win all their games! It's ours to lose but still think we need at least a draw Friday!!

It seems to be he does a brilliant job at it, but there have been certain points where he can't quite keep on top of it, understandably given the situation.
Sheff Utd at home last year. Donny and more noticible Posh this year. All after those great 8 win runs. Just hints that we started to believe our own hype, turned up against a struggling team too cock sure and got done over.

You'd have to be some sort of mindaltering God to be able to convince players each game is going to be a tough job and to focus on the individual result after winning 7/8 on the trot though. Bound to have a certain amount of complacency fall in.

Hopefully get a couple of the guys back for Friday. No reason we can't go there and get the 3 points based on what I have seen lately when we went to Wet Sham and BHA. It is gonna tough game but I see no reason why we can't nick it.

I think the key is getting Ledge back to help the back 4 deal with Lambert.
