I got my train ticket ages ago as my sources told me there was likely to be an IT/ticketing glitch.

If anybody has any problems I don't think the Club has a leg to stand on. They offered the tickets so people bought them. Any doubt, report it to Nicky Campbell, and Dom Littlewood.

They're on YOUR side.

IN! for the 09.03 from euston to adderley park

IN! for the 15.44 champions/promotion/"absolute devastation at the thought of the play-offs" train home

£19.50 return from londonmidland.com

Cheeky website remembered all my cookies from various searches though and kept putting up all the prices. Switched from chrome to IE and like magic the prices all dropped from £50 a return back down to £20

Royal Lady Surely the people able to get tickets will have more points than you Ian so deserve it?!

I wouldn't begrudge them any other game. I didn't say they shouldn't be able to go. I said I'd be pissed off if the 1500 odd people it'll take preventing me getting a ticket, who've no interest in going to away games under other circumstances ruin my end of season ritual.

Frankly, for me, ME>>>>>>>>>Them.

How do you know they have no interest in going to any other away games?

Reasonable guess given our average away attendence is about 800.

royalsteve i worked in brum alot over the past 2 years and remember to ask for the following ticket, provided you return same day

Birmingham to Banbury return
Banbury to Brum New Street return

same train as direct and you DONT need to get off at Banbury - unless you are stupid

Its about 3 months since ive used that route so tkts maybe a little more but i paid £34.60 return at peak time, whereas a direct ticket was an outrageous £82 (approx - with the only benefit of being able to return at any time within a month - BUT you could by two singles using the above and it would still be cheaper anyway!)

Never ask for a ticket direct to Brum New Street - as all the scum train operators do, theyll sell you the most expensive ticket (i keep lobbying the ombudsman and government to sort this disgraceful behaviour out as its a joke, alas im a small voice amongst scum)

So can you buy those tickets on the day? Will be coming up for southampton, it's on the same line and as Banbury is in the network railcard zone, it looks like it'll cost me around £45 as opposed to the standard £76 return. Mental! How can the train operators do that?!

Have my Brum ticket already but i'm delighted the ticket office have suffered a massive balls up for all their shambles in the past.

Both at least 2 pints more expensive on a single (£15 v £7.50). Haven't decided for sure which one to go for yet - may go earlier to ensure time for a pint or two before heading to the ground.

In! First away trip since Liverpool in 2007. Going on the coach this time so I won't get abused and threatened by some scummy bluenoses at Birmingham International as I was then. Result!

Yes I did see that. I'm thinking 9:23, gets to Brum 10:45, then time to walk towards St Andrews and by time get nearby should be a pub open!

The 09.03 (which goes via New Street and to Adderly Park) only takes 1.41mins total, arriving at 10.44.

Adderley Park is only 10 minutes from the ground, so I'm figuring that a short walk to a pub should see me arrive at 11am, just in time for first orders.
