Snowball
Reading's next two away games will be the hardest two games they will have had to face all season
15-4-2 44-15 Southampton
12-8 -1 33-12 Birmingham
and they will be short of a great midfielder (Karacan) and may not have Leigertwood.

TBMFox Talbot I'm hoping an agreement to draw 0-0 is being arranged.
wouldn't it be better to get a high scoring draw?.......cos after GD, doesn't it come down to GF?

paddy20 Getting very nervous about those that seem to think promotion is tied up. Having supported Reading for a long time I dont think we can take anything for granted. With our weakened team we could easily just get 4 points from the next four games - loss at Southampton and Birmingham with a win against C. Pal and a draw against in form Forest. W. Ham would then need to win three and get a draw and they would be above us on Goal Diff. Would not be thinking like this if had full team but we could be without 3 key players!

Silver Fox After the success of my back from the game thread I thought I should do this
1-2 Champagne Gorkks, Dread Pirate roberts
Now crack on everyone being certain we'll lose, by choosing to completely ignore our form and just deciding that Ricky Lambert is the best thing since Pele
Now, where do i find out who the ref is so I can start a refwatch thread?

This is why it's a squad game, not a first 11 game.
Everyone keeps saying how in form Forest are but remember they got beaten at home by Bristol City the other week, plus they've been scoring a fair few worldly goals - that'll stop sooner or later.
Personally I don't think we could "easily" only take four points from four games. That'd be a remarkable capitulation from a side that have won 13 of the last 15 games or whatever it is. It might happen but it's more likely we'll take 6 or 7 and go up.

Snowball The "easily" (meaning it wouldn't be that surprising) could go like this.
1. Lose away to Southampton who are top of the league, with a fantastic striker and a great home record. 50% possibility?
2. Draw at home against a side in good recent form who have won 3 from their last six away. 50% possibility?
3. Win versus Palace. 90% Likely
4. Lose at Birmingham, a seriously good side with a very good home record. 50% possibility?
None of those results would be "surprises". I hope we win next four, but those who are nervous are right to be.
It COULD turn so quickly. Add in (possibly) last-minute nerves and injuries or poor decisions, bad luck
