From KUMB:

"Reading are testament to how far carrying no passengers athletically and working their defensive nuts off can take you.

Jason Roberts probably signing of the season at this level."

Looks like they finally get it...

RobRoyal ALF? I just... what?

What's he supposed to do? Convert one of the many chances we've been creating?

Ladies and gents, I called it before he even came on. 8)

TBM Anyone know what West Ham are saying?

I hate myself for saying it, but I do applaud them for the run that they are on. Three successive away trips and 9 points at this stage of the season from visits to West Ham, Brighton and Southampton is very impressive. Just think what the mood would be on here, if we had amassed 9 points from 3 successive very tough away games and arguably, the toughest ones of all They're virtually up now and they deserve it too. They went on promotion winning run

Was just about to post that.

Seems that some of them have some common sense.

I do still hope it is Reading, Southampton and Birmingham/Brighton/Middlesbrough to go up.

BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan at St Mary's Stadium: "Reading move a step closer to promotion with a vital victory but Saints will certainly join them if they play like they they did tonight. Saints were robbed, but that won't matter one bit to Brian McDermott and his side."

How were they robbed? If he means a smash and grab then....

it is our fucking game plan. Soak it up and bam!

Bloody Adkins asa bad as Allardyce....

Poor goals? Sloppy?

Kebes cross for Roberts was unbelievable....
ALFs finishes superb, certainly the first.....why is it that these managers cannot bring themselves to say that our game plan of soaking up the pressure, hitting them on the break, and being clinical, worked.....

Going to take a while to get to sleep tonight....

We did it twice in a week. Classic away performances. Robbed? Nah. Out thought? Yep!

I continue to be astonished by this group of players and the self-belief that Brian has instilled into them; or maybe I should say that they have done it so often, that I should not be in the least surprised when they pull off results like this.

Been an afternoon of complete angst and torment, but worth it all and I will celebrate tonight; and I have the entire game DVRd for me to watch tonight :D

They deserve the bashing they are getting for that very reason. Despite tonight's performance they are all (with one or two exceptions) still criticising us and whinging about their history entitling them to a promotion.

Mr Angry Superb management by Brian; when many would have expected a team away from home to bring on a defensive minded player to protect the point, Brian brings on a striker who goes and scores 2 goals to win the 3 points.

Brilliant.

Are you watching Allardyce?? Thats what WE think of the point; we don't respect it - we kick it in the bollox and take the 3 instead.

Lovely stuff Mr A

W14
D6
L9

Becomes

W28
D7
L10

Phenomenal.

In its own way this is a season just as impressive and unlikely as 2005/6. And it's being done under far greater pressure.
