08 Federici. Very solid, commanding, mostly based on first half.

09 Cummings. Maybe the best I've seen him play. Top player will get better and better.
08 Pearce As per first half, solid defender
08 Gorkss Ditto
08 Harte Give him a new one-year contract, oh how I wish he had pace. GREAT professional!

08 McAnuff Solid, hard-working Captain's performance without ever shining
08 Mullins. Frankly, I barely saw him, but he must have done OK
08 Tabb. Worked hard first half. Does the simple thing well.
08 Kebe. Didn't do loads but made the first goal and was involved in the second. Enough!

09 Roberts. A very good goal. Led the line very well, almost unplayable. one brilliant run and cross second half
08 Hunt Unsung hero, works very hard. great "leave for Alfie's goal. Maybe deserves 9.

11 Le Fondre. First goal was excellent. second goal was a worldy. Greta pace, great awareness. Top Man!

Afobe. Can't remember much but did nothing wrong.

Odd game. man for man I thought Saints were classy and edged us in most departments, but what a professional job we did!

That's the kind of rigorous analysis I've come to love from you Snowball.

Only joking

A good defensive midfielder doesn't have to be seen to be effective.

I agree with Y21s ratings.

Delighted...

Hope Southampton now do enough to get second place!

Disagree

They have individuals with class but we are a FANTASTIC hard-working TEAM

Not for a second were we "lucky", and the goal we conceded was slightly unlucky

If we are going to pull a win like that out of the bag at Southampton we are as good as up. 5 wins out of that run of games is nothing short of amazing.

Agree (and I'm half way through my second bottle of wine) which is why I have to presume he did well

OMG that was awesome!! (and no I am not a 13 year old girl). Perfect Reading performance really. McD is the best manager by far. Set them up perfectly. Scored on the breaks and absorbed all the pressure. Agree that Tabb was less than stellar and I really never saw Mullins, Kebe frustrated and then provided two assists so there you go. I don't think it was a steal or smash and grab or whatever. I think it when perfectly to plan 8)

Agreed - how to you steal a 1-3 win away from home?

By soaking up the amount of pressure we did and hitting them on the break. We could quite easily have been 2/3 down at HT. They were the more creative force and at times we were camped in own box. You will notice I did not use the word lucky.
